Pinellas Realtor Organization is collecting for 40 children for Christmas in conjunction with Big Brothers & Big Sisters but they need your help. Checks, cash and Wal-Mart gift cards are being accepted by Michelle Schaefferkoetter at Pinellas Realtor Organization through December 13th. Gifts will be purchased for those 40 children and delivered to them for Christmas. It is hard to think that in our very own country so many children are in need but it is a sad fact. Please consider contributing. If you live elsewhere, contribute to your local organization that is collecting for those in need. Peach MAC is now at Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater Florida! What does that mean? It means you no longer have to go all the way to the Apple Store at International Mall over in Tampa to purchase a new iPad or MAC product! They also do repairs, offer workshops and guess what, no lines out the door!  I used to hate going to the Apple Store at International Mall in Tampa because you can always plan on spending a couple of hours there and usually that is just waiting until it is your turn! This is going to make life so much better!  If you haven't checked out the new Peach Mac Store, be sure to do so. It is downstairs, closer to JCPenney than to Sears. IKEA in Tampa Florida is a great store and I love shopping there! My daughter and I were over there last week picking up items for my granddaughter's sixth birthday. The little one needs a new desk and chair, since she is becoming a 'big girl' now. With IKEA, you can mix and match pieces and that is what we did. The green top to this desk is going to have two pink legs on one side and the white cabinet with drawers on the other side. To make it perfect, she is getting this adorable pink chair! I find it fitting on Memorial Day to report on the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall which was in Clearwater Florida last week. The Tampa Bay Veteran's Alliance had a large celebration in Coachman Park and I found out about it when Ronnie came home and said he and his buddy Bob had stopped by to see the wall. They were looking for names of classmates from Clearwater High School who had died in Vietnam. I found these At the Fresh Market in Clearwater, Sugar Tree Peacharines. They are absolutely yummy and from California. They are a lovely combo of peaches and nectarines and Kingsburg Orchards says they are low-fuzz and they are. These are Sugar Tree Peacharines and Kingsburg says in order for them to get the Sugar Tree label; they must past the brix (sugar) level test, color, and overall taste tests at their plant-breeding nursery. All I know is: they sure are good; be sure to look for them. Cheddar's Casual Cafe on Roosevelt Blvd in Clearwater Florida was a great choice for lunch today. I had never been there before, so when my best friend suggested it, that is where we headed. I was not disappointed. We both had the salmon with broccoli and it was delicious! This is indeed one restaurant that I will visit again......great food and equally great prices! You can't beat that. If you are looking for a place with a wide variety of things on the menu and prices that don't break the bank, check out Cheddar's!
