Fishing off Clearwater Florida in the intercoastal waterways during the month of February means that you are likely to hook Spanish Mackerel and that equals one tasty dinner! We were out on the boat yesterday and Ronnie did indeed catch a nice Spanish Mackerel. They need to be 12 inches to keep and this guy was 15, so he was headed for the dinner table. Clearwater Florida offers great fishing year round! It is also a fantastic place to live and play in the Florida sun! Today is the start of the Chinese new year otherwise known as the lunar year. I am Chinese too. I state "too" because I am of mixed ethnicities. I am very proud of my Chinese heritage despite some blaming China thus the Chinese for the further devaluation of American currency. It is not our fault. Really. I was born with a Chinese surname. My grandfather's name is Lin Hau and my father's name is Man Fong. On my maternal side, I also have Chinese. My maternal grandmother's name was Ah Lan. I am very proud to be Chinese!In any case I wish for health and prosperity for all during this Year of the Horse. 'How much to purchase an island?' was the question I received from a client from up in New Jersey. He was down here looking at homes and wanted to know about purchasing one of the islands in Clearwater's intercoastal waterway to build a home on. The problem is that those islands belong to the county and most of them are bird sanctuaries while others belong to the park system. So no islands for sale here. While it may sound like a cute idea, you have to also think about things like getting fresh water out there, disposing of waste water and trash and commuting to take the kids to school, get groceries, etc. As great an idea as it sounds at first, when you seriously think about it, who would want to live on an island unless you were retired and only needed to come to the mainland when YOU...

As of October 2013 the average days on market decreased to 133 days. This is a 35.1% decrease. In other words buyers are buying. For single-family homes and villas in Clearwater FL 33755 the average days on market has shortened more significantly. Today is another closing and it is in the beautiful complex of The Fountains of Countryside in Clearwater Florida. We brought the offer 3 weeks ago and since it is another cash closing, today my buyer will be getting the keys and gate card to this great condo. I work with buyers and sellers, although it is mostly buyers. I love the satisfaction that comes with knowing I was able to assist someone get that home they have been dreaming of. The State of Florida real estate sales associates exam and the broker exam are extremely difficult. In both exams they ask you about signage that is required. According to Florida State Statute 475.22 Florida real estate brokers must maintain a sign on or about the entrance of her or his principal office and each branch office, which sign may be easily observed and read by any person about to enter such office. Yes, this is how beautiful the October weather on the water is here off the coast of Clearwater Florida! We waited until past noon to go out since I had phone calls to make, appointments to set and another contract to write but once that was done, we took off. We switched the live well and the built in cooler with each other so there is more room for the fish. Ronnie uses a cast net and we had well over 60 fish in the live well......everything from green backs, small mullet and pin fish to grunts. They all make great bait for snook and redfish. I brought my iPhone and listened to a book on economics and the euro from Audible.de. I do this so I don't let my German knowledge decline. While I may be listening to a book, I am quick with the net to bring large fish into the boat when Ronnie ...
