Hurricane Milton should be arriving between 11 pm tonight and 2 am Thursday morning. The above photo was taken after a simple storm - before Hurricane Helene - hit our coast. With Milton packing much stronger winds, it is anybody's guess what it will look like this time tomorrow.Flood zones A, B and C were told on Monday to start evacuating. Many more are doing so this time around after Helene's mayhem! We are in flood zone X and not leaving our second floor condo. Bridges to the barrier islands were all closed yesterday and nobody can get on or off anymore. With Helene the entire islands flooded as did all the cars on the islands. Hurricane Helene may be gone but the devastation will linger for years, sadly. While my community, which is about 6 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, is high and dry, those living on the barrier islands have lost so much here in Pinellas County!All of the bridges going out to the islands are still closed, even to residents that have homes out there. The reason is the amount of devastation! There are mounds of sand as high as 8 feet that was washed up from the beaches and from the gulf that have covered everything. Cars were either floating in water and sand or totally covered by the salt water drenched sand. As we get used to condo living, my granddaughter is finding that it suits her just fine! She spent the night two days ago and will be back again tonight for a sleepover. It is always fun, having your ten year old granddaughter with you for the day! What she likes about the place we are now living in (other than the pool, which is an enormous attraction) is the fact that a family of rabbits, complete with a couple of babies, live in the bushes out in the courtyard, otters live in the pond across the street and we have a baby anole (small Florida lizard) that somehow got transported here in one of my orchid plants. HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless Printhead ProblemsOne of the things I enjoy doing is "tinkering" with electronics to see how it works. If it does not work I love to try to figure out how to make it work.One of my latest projects was an HP OfficeJet 6500 Wireless printer that I purchased at Salvation Army for $20. It is the E709n Model. The error kept stating "Ink System failure" which was a printhead problem.
