Stacie Lee, owner of Stacie Lee Nicole Salon & Spa, wasn't upset when she saw graffiti with 6-foot-tall lettering splashed across the entire length of the east side of the building housing her business. She was happy that her request for the graffiti turned out so well. The letters spell "Jesus is the Reason for the Season." "I went to every store and couldn't find anything Christ-like," Lee said. "I thought I would do something of my own."After discussing the graffiti idea with friends, and getting the OK from Krystyna Zapiec, the building's owner — she was connected to Aaron DeLucca, an 18-year-old artist in North Fort Myers. "We got to talking, and I asked her what kind of writing she wanted to do for it and showed her a couple of styles, and that's one she picked," DeLucca said.Lee s...

Hey Look, we made it into the NYTimes.com :) See article here Unfortunately it wasn’t the best perception of Cape Coral, Florida. So here’s my take…. Prices are down – yes. They are down. Why? Because investors, I mean speculators tripped over each other to put money down on houses, land & new projects in 2004-2006, peaking in 2005. People who had no information about the area other than “my buddy made some money in Cape Coral real estate” started buying houses here. Many builders wanted to help these un-savvy investors & offered great deals like $1,000 down & no-interest/no-payment pre-construction loans through partner lenders. GREAT. NOT. I talk to these people on a daily basis. They can’t afford these houses. But none of them had a plan B. They all believed their friends/Real Estate...

Mon, 17 Dec 2007 9:06:34 PM Eastern Standard Time    IT  IS  STRANGE, ISN'T  IT....Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?   Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie? Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying but... you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend? Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel or ZANE GREY book? Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church? Isn'...

How to make the next 12 months your best year ever! The holidays are upon us and as you reflect on the year past, you may want to ask yourself this one very important question: Did you accomplish what you wanted to accomplish this past year?  Now, I am guessing that for a lot of you, you may have answered No to the above question. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Some of you may set high goals that really make you stretch and perhaps you hit most of them but not all of them. Unfortunately, some of you may not have even set goals. Now, for those of you that answered yes to the above question, did you challenge yourself enough? What did you learn from this past year? I dare to say that those that feel they accomplished all they wanted to accomplish this past year may not have challeng...

Now at the end of 2007 a large inventory of available homes, the buyer has more many more options. The buyer can now take more time, see more ...

You could grow a fortune by doubling your salary... or the other (far easier) way is to...Slice Your Spending in HalfThe First Super Saving Secret: Save $310 on a new mattressWhen it comes to a good night's sleep, you don't want to be searching around for bargain mattresses. So expect to spend about $800 for a quality queen-size mattress. The best place to buy? Hit the mattress specialty store or a department store where you can do a test rest. They'll typically give you the best return and exchange policy -- and you'll get the most wiggle room for negotiating price. Don't think brands like Tempurpedic or Select Comfort won't deal -- they will. Prices are extremely fluid -- though retailers would rather keep that under wraps. Always be sure to ask when the next sale is scheduled and if ...

Wisdom From the World's Second-Best InvestorBy John Reeves November 26, 2007 10 Recommendations When Warren Buffett offers investment advice, it pays to listen. The same is true of David Swensen -- arguably the world's second-best investor. In Swensen's Pioneering Portfolio Management, he discusses the qualities he looks for in a portfolio manager. If you own mutual funds or are looking to buy one, you'll want to hear what Swensen has to say. Yale's alchemistDavid Swensen oversees Yale's endowment, which has grown to more than $22 billion during his nearly 20-year tenure. During that period, he has delivered annualized returns of 16.3%, which is the highest amount among major university endowments over the past two decades. With a record like that, it shouldn't be surprising that some f...

Joe Kendall Realtor with Sandals Realty 239-560-0726 the foreclosure and short sale specialist writes: After several weeks of discussions and lots of information emailed and faxed over to the Bank, they called (Countrywide ) and have  agree to do a short sale and take a cash offer on one of my properties listed for sale in Cape Coral Florida ! The Bank has taken the option not to go thru the courts and spend money to add another property to their list of already large list of inventory homes. I have been writing over the last several months that it can be done, here is an example that you can get yourself as a home owner off the records of being completely foreclosed on a property. This seller was already 4 months behind in the mortgage before she called me! Bank's are willing to agree...
