Happy Birthday Buttons & Happy New Year Buttons is 14 today.  She came to us at 5 months old from a breeder who wouldn't use her for showing because she had pointy ears and a broken tail. She was to be used for breeding.  A friend of mine told the breeder, No, don't do that.  I have a friend who would love to have her.  And so it began... Buttons joined Coco, our special needs dog.   Coco wasn't much of a player so Buttons kind of hung with and protected her.  When Gracie joined the group, the playing began in earnest! Buttons was jet black and white as a puppy.  She loved to watch lizards.  She loved and still loves to go for walks.  She has since greyed (haven't we all?)  She has lost her hearing, but follows me everywhere.    Here she is this past week having retrieved the treat from... 01/01/2017

Active Rain Meet Up in Delray Beach FL Our fall 2016 Active Rain Meet Up was held this past Thursday at Deck 84 in Delray Beach.  It was hosted by Kathy Streib, who always does a magnificent job as hostess. In attendance were Kathy Streib Lou Ludwig Eileen Burns, who brought her mom Sally, and myself.  It was a small group but conversation was non-stop.
