Can I Say I Knew You When? was the question I posed to Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland this morning.  Naturally, she asked me why. I told her when I logged onto crs.com this morning and went to trsmag.com (The Residential Specialist Magazine), the page opened and there she was.  Was I ever surprised!  I had to look twice to make sure.  But, yep, there was Margaret! Of course, then I called her and asked:  Can I say I knew you when?   Margaret did not know the article was going to be featured this month, but there it was - All Roads Lead to Rome.  And there is only one Rome I know who is worthy of this feature.  I hope this link works without having to log in because it's a great article.   So congratulations Margaret on a job well done!  As always!

It is a Buyer's Market in South Florida in 2019 The tables have finally turned.  It is now a buyer's market in Boca Raton and south Florida.  For the past several years, sellers were calling the shots.  Homes received multiple offers. Sellers stood their ground.  Many sellers have not realized the market has turned or come to terms with this yet, as it happened quite recently over the past few months. But it did happen.  We are now in a Buyer's market, not only in Boca Raton but Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and Highland Beach, as well.  In fact, all of south Florida has become a buyer's market.    Buyers have Options  As a buyer's agent in south Florida, when I show property now, I have more and more options of homes to show.  It's been years since I've had this many homes to show or see...

This past year, I served on the Grievance Committee for the Board of Realtors and loved it.  I am always amazed, but no longer surprised, at what goes on out there.  Having been a court reporter in New York City, I thought I had seen and heard it all.  Definitely not so!   The past year was a wonderful learning experience, and one I wanted to continue.  However, they cut the committee from 74 to 30 members.  I know that sounds like a lot, but with a membership of 33,000 agents in our MLS, I guess it really isn't.   I volunteered, again but did not know if I would be accepted.  There are a lot of really good people on this committee.   I am thrilled to share that they, once again, accepted me.  I will be serving on the 2019 Grievance Board of the Board of Realtors for Realtors of the Pal...

Is the Market Starting to Turn to a Buyers' Market In the past two months, but especially the past month, I have seen indications of my market turning more into a buyer's market.  Not everyone may agree; this is my observation of Boca Raton Florida and the surrounding areas.   There is definitely more inventory,  I recently listed a house in a neighborhood where there were 10 homes for sale at the time.  We wouldn't have seen that 6 months ago.  Houses were on fire over the summer, so to speak.  List them and multiple offers were coming in.  Now, there were 10.   In the past 30 days, 5 more houses came on the market.  There were price drops in some.  Several went under contract.  I had one buyer's agent say to me, Can the seller decide fast because we have another house to look at and m...
