I've posted recently about the Grand Opening event for our new downtown Boca Raton office. Let me tell you - renovating an office is not for the faint of heart. It all started when we took over a space that not exactly functional. It's location is prime - with a corner bay in a busy upscale retail plaza, and exposure to both Federal Highway (main thoroughfare for those that don't know South Florida) and exposure when people pull into the plaza, however it was one large space with no real floor plan. It felt like 1000 square feet of nothing. The previous company was set up with 12 large executive desks that took up most of the area. There was a conference room in the back which meant that clients had to walk through a mess to get to the conference room ( which also doubled as a kitchen.)...

Thank You Officer Patterson and the Boca Raton Police What started out as a visit to the dentist today ended up with my phone being stolen.  Hard to believe but true.  After making a followup appointment and entering it on my calendar, Maggie reminded me to take my phone, which was on the counter. I took the phone and made a stop in the ladies room downstairs.  On my way out, I noticed two women in scrubs had come into the bathroom.   When I got to my car, I realized I did not have my phone but I had my iPad.  Luckily, I had downloaded the app Find My Phone which showed my phone was still in the building.  I headed back to the ladies room.  The women and my phone were no where to be found.  There was a man working on his laptop in the lobby who gave me managment company's number.  No an...

Buying a house is a difficult process — there are large sums of money involved, the transaction costs and hassle of moving mean that you can’t just buy another house if you don’t like the one you end up with. The best you can do is to educate yourself in all aspects of the house hunt, keep a clear head, and buy a house that best fits your criteria. There are plenty of articles full of useful tips for first-time homebuyers. I am not going to repeat them. Instead, I will list the lessons I have learned over the past 30 years of working exclusively with buyers that are not often covered.   For full article visit:  http://www.optimaproperties.com/?p=3149
