  The Top 10 Reasons Why Short-Sales Do Not Spell Bargain.   1. They will take on average every bit of 120-180 days to close.   2. The property has been neglected by the owner or abandoned all together.   3.  More than likely they have debt owed not only to the bank, but to the HOA, City & IRS.   4.
