There is a new coffee/sandwich/soup/bakery shop in downtown Georgetown. It is located on Market Street directly across from the courthouse. If you "like" them on Facebook, you will receive the daily specials. I have tried the chicken salad sandwich with dried cranberries and a couple of the pastries and a biscotti. All were very good. The service is freindly and quick. They have an artist's display of paintings on the wall. One is very vibrant and colorful of koi fish. Stop in an try this shop out

Georgetown Pizza Palace, Georgetown, Delaware. One of our favorite restaurants for take out is the Georgetown Pizza Palace. The people are friendly, the prices are very affordable and they offer so very much on their menu. They are open for lunch and dinner and open every day of the week. There is ample seating and parking. My husband and I ordered a large cheeseburger sub and a small plain cheese pizza tonight. Our order was ready when I stopped in. The large sub is very large so my husband will have the other half for lunch tomorrow. I ate half of the small pizza and will have the other half tomorrow. The sub and the pizza were each $6.95; not a bad price at all. The Georgetown Pizza Palace is located on Rt. 113 in the shopping center at the Route 9 Intersection. They have many dinner...

The Georgetown Farmers Market is held at the Park next to the Georgetown Presbyterian Church on North Bedford Street Wednesdays from 3-6PM. There are several produce stands, a couple of bakery tables and some flower vendors. I was able to purchase asparagus, a cucumber, a container of tomatoes, zucchini and yellow squash for a very affordable price. There were some delicious looking italian sandwiches at one booth an trail mixes at another.   The market is sponsored by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.

Georgetown, Delaware is fortunate to have a very nice, well stocked anitique store. The merchandise is displayed in such charming ways. The upstairs is full as well. I always enjoy checking out their window displays when riding or walking by. It is so fun to spend an hour or two inside taking a trip down memory lane.

The power produced will help power the 911 center and the residual power can be sold back to the local electrical grid. It is expected to generate $30,000 annually in new revenue and will receive a one-time state rebate of more than $200,000 for adopting the technology. Sussex County stands to earn as much as $1.3 million in revenue over the next 25 years by using the grant for solar technology. The initial grant of $4...

First I want to start out by saying I am probably the last person that should be blogging about politics but what the heck today is a day we will all remember for a long time to come no matter who wins.  I also have the privilege to live in a place that celebrates election years very different from anywhere I have ever heard of.  You see I live in Delaware the 1st STATE and we have what is called "Returns Day".  And it is alot of fun for all.  People travel from around the region to attend this great day.   Today while driving to work I went into to Town to vote (Georgetown the County Seat) and they were getting the Circle ready for the festivities that will begin tomorrow night at 6pm.  You see the people here believe that no matter who wins or losing when all is said in done after r...
