The Watergate is a special place, and when you walk into one of the units there, you never know what you'll find.  Today, I walked into Unit 1114 at Watergate North., a beautiful unit that Melissa Chen and Andrea Evers have listed.  And it took my breath away! From the time I walked through the door into the marble-floored foyer, I could see the fabulous view of the Potomac River.  Whether the day is hazy or totally clear, the river is right there, off the big balcony. The Watergate Cooperatives: Washington, DC's Quintessential Urban Village An old friend of mine who was a violinist/lawyer, often invited friends to his riverfront apartment at The Watergate for chamber music parties, where he could show off his Stradivarius violin.  He often attended concerts steps away at the Kennedy Center, and his law office was in the Watergate Office Building.  His car rarely left it's parking place in the building's garage. He chose the Watergate for the same reason many of the residents of it's 600-ish units love the complex.
