Originally called Farmingbury because of the large number of farms in this town slightly N East of Waterbury, Wolcott still has it's feel. Lake Hitchcock, Wolcott, CT I remember looking at  a very old map of the Greater Waterbury area in one of the classrooms at West Side Middle School back when I first started teaching and noting that smack at the bottom of Wolcott was a lake that was shaped like an extracted molar...
