New HUD Disclosures Will Make Closing More Challenging after Aug 1 The new CFPB rules regarding the buyer loan process will take effect on Aug 1, and there will be a lot of angst created because of them.  The purpose is to make the closings more buyer friendly and are intended to allow the Borrower, who will now be called the Consumer, to get a more competitive loan.  Our local Board hosted a breakfast this week with representatives from Fidelity Title to discuss the new rules and forms.  The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church  Mother's Day Festival is this weekend on the grounds of the church at 937 Chase Parkway, Waterbury CT.The tent is up, the chairs and tables are in, the booths and food cases are loaded and waiting for the people to arrive. The stands will the plants and flowers are loaded but by the end of the weekend, all will be gone. A Very Successful Scholarship DinnerThe Dennis J Antonacci Jr Scholarship was a very successful event Dennis F Antonacci, Jr Memorial Scholarship. Dennis was held to raise funds to  increase the reserves of the scholarship fund.  140 people came in to enjoy the food, the raffles and socialize with their fellow friends. This was the first year the scholarships were awarded and both recipients were there to accept the accolades of the family.
