It Must be a great Restaurant, Look Who Hangs out There The front of the Sam the Clam’s restaurant on the Meriden-Waterbury Rd in Southington CT has definite traffic stoppers, especially for someone new to the area. There’s Jake and Elwood, those famous Blues Brothers, the one and only Marilyn, and of course a seafood restaurant would need to have a sea captain, so there’s Captain Hook.       Sam the Clam has been on this spot for what seems like forever. The food has always been good and abundant, service is quick and for those summer nights, there’s an outside covered patio for dining al fresco. The decorations at the front of the restaurant, do get attention and they look so life-like as well.
