Yesterday, school bus drivers in New Milford, Connecticut, went out on strike.  School officials were forced to close the schools for the day. I was shocked - I had heard nothing about a possible strike.  Our local paper is not the best about timely reporting, but still I thought a pending strike by school bus drivers would be all over the news. As it turns out, the strike was a last minute decision by the bus drivers' union.  School administrators and parents were left scrambling to make alternative plans without warning.  Though I'm sure the kids enjoyed their unexpected, sunny day off. I understand negotiations - obviously in this business I understand negotiations quite well - the drivers want better pay that is more in line with the pay in surrounding towns.  Makes sense.  What doe...
