St Patrick's Day Road Race in Naugatuck CT set for Mar 15, 2014 This years St Patrick's Day road race, which will be the 4th year, is set for Sat Mar 15. It also should be the most succcessful as well. The race is sponsored this year by Ion Bank. The race, which is the major fundraiser for the Naugatuck CT Education Foundation, will be held on the morning of Saturday, March 15, in downtown Naugatuck on Old Firehouse Road behind the Naugatuck Fire Department. Runners will get a free corned beef sandwich or hot dog and a beer or soda. And for the first time this year, the race will include a 10K jaunt (roughly 6.2 miles) as well as a 5K run (about 3.1 miles).
