  On September 13th the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be sponsoring and hosting their Annual CF Cycle For Life Event.  The Cycle For Life Event is perfect for all bicycling skill levels with route options of 10, 30, or 62 miles.   Last Saturday the Wethersfield Red Onions played the Thames River Baseball Club in a reenactment of a Civil War Era Baseball Game at Pierson Park in Cromwell, CT.,.  The game was an effort by the Cromwell, CT Historical Society to demonstrate what life was like in Cromwell, CT in the 1860's. I stopped by and and got to see most of the first game.  In the spirit of the legendary short stop and first baseman for the Chicago Cubs, they played a double header.  The way the game was played back in the Civil War Era the players did not wear any gloves or protective equipment.  Also the ball was pitched underhand like in softball today.   Next week is going to be a good week for classic car lovers with the Cromwell CT. 2014 Memorial Day Car Show on Friday, and the 9th Annual E.J.K. car show at Xavier High School, in Middletown, CT.  I don't know if I will be able to go to both, but I will be at least one of them.  Last year was the first Cromwell CT. Memorial Day Car Show and I was not able to go to it, but there are excellent pictures of amazing cars that were there last year.  One of the locations used to park some of these assume cars was ActiveRain Member Glen Johnson's Real Estate Companies parking lot.  I am sure Glen will be making his lot available again this year.   The 2014 Middlesex Chamber Business After Work, Billy Tee's, Cromwell, CT.  This is a free event, so you can't beat the price, but you do have to be a Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce menber or guest. If you have never been to Billy Tee's then you are in for a special treat, their brick oven pizza is excellent, especially their four cheese pizza.  But its not about the free food and drink, it is about an excellent opportunity to network with other business professionals, and make some great connections. Chicago The Musical Comes To Cromwell High School In Cromwell, CT.  Cromwell High School Students brings the Musical Play Chicago to life this Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st.  If you have not attended a High School Musical Play before, then you are in for a treat singing, chorus girls, illegal booze, jazz, and murder when attend this two evening performance.   The Musical Play Chicago is based on a true life story written by Chicago Crime Reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins in the 1920's.  Watkins turned her news paper articles into a play in 1927, and then quickly became a Cecil B.
