Sometimes we Just Get a Gift        Gas prices have been falling to levels not seen in years.  I just had an opportunity to get a full tank of gas due to gas credits accumulated by shopping at Stop and Shop and having one of their member cards.  Not only dies the card get additional discounts within the store, but the totals are accumulated in the account and offered as discounts on gas at their gas pumps.   Our Connecticut gas prices are currently at a level not seen this century at just over $2.10 a gallon. Due to her shopping, my wife was able to get a $ .60 per gallon discount at the stores' gas service station. With a price of  $1.52 per gallon we headed to the gas station. Common sense dictates you take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves.  So fill the tanks on...

  Yesterday right after church a large group of us got together and went on a Hayride At Norton Brothers Farm In Cheshire, CT.  This was also my granddaughter Elizabeth's first hayride, and even though it was cold and windy, and she is just 3 1/2 months old she is already a fan.  Everyone one had a good time, especially the kids who sang the "Never Ending Song" for the whole ride. Norton Brothers Farm is a small apple orchard, and the hayride is a tour of the orchard.  Half way through the ride we stopped and everyone got to pick a bag of apples to take home.  Most of the apples have already been picked off the trees, but the ones left sure taste good..
