Rocky Dickerson is hosting the "July Active Rain Challenge - Savory Stories", and asks us to write a post about our favorite July recipes.  I am not much of a cook, in fact I would be a lot lighter if I had to depend on eating my own cooking.  However, I do grill, and my wife and I grill as often as possible during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months.  Grilled food tastes so much better than any other food in my opinion, and is something even I can't mess up.  BUT even with grilling my skills are very limited, so I will post about a quick simple meal I do several times in the Summer.  It is hot dogs, but not just any hot dog, they are "Big Bites".I simply fire up my gas grill until it is at least 450 - 500 degrees. My grill has 3 burners, so once it has reached the desired heat, I turn ...

They have actually been trying to hire me for a couple of years, but now they throughout an offer that is $20,000 higher than I am currently making. I can’t afford not to take the job, but an concerned about our mortgage application. “Are You Kidding Me?” Hi Joe, We are under contract, finally. I was online yesterday and saw a rate that a quarter of a percent less that the rate you mentioned in the pre-qualification letter. The payment would be $13.45 less for us, can you match that rate? I asked if this online company ran the credit and the answer was NO. So, how can they quote a rate without that? The bait and switch game is alive and well.  All of us what the best deal we can get, but always have more faith in someone that was referred to you by a trusted relationship compared to a company online that you don’t know and doesn’t know you.

Throw Back Thursday  I Need to Make A Phone Call There was a time, in the olden days, when one needed to find a phone booth and have change, in order to make a phone call.  One didn't make a call just to let a friend know that they just passed a new coffee shop, or a new restaurant was opening. Most of the times, it was a real emergency.
