1. Steamboat Springs, CO is a world-class resort town with a friendly, western feel. It is a real town, with real people, which is what people love about it.  2. Our ski mountain is one of the best in Colorado, and people love coming back here because we're a small town with a big heart!  3.We have hot springs, bike paths, fine dining, cattle drives, and great schools...and no lift lines because the nearest Interstate highway is 90 miles away. 4.We are one of the least expensive (aka undervalued) resorts in the West.  You can get a great place for the same price as other resorts' dumpy condos next to the freeway. 5. Intrawest bought our ski mountain in 2006 and has been making great changes on the mountain.  Our base area will be scraped and re-built with a pedestrian-friendly village, ...

One Steamboat Place in Steamboat Springs, CO, will be a luxury ski-in, ski-out development literally steps from the gondola.  It features four bedroom, four bath units available in whole and fractional 1/8th ownership.  Owners will enjoy on-site amenities including a full-service restaurant, fitness center, spa, Member's lounge, and Catamount golf membership, but the main attraction is the location.  One Steamboat Place will be located in the parking lot right next to the slopes and gondola (where guests would drop the kids off at the Kid's Vacation Center). One Steamboat Place is part of Timbers Resorts.  For information on other Steamboat Springs, CO developments and real estate, please visit SteamboatHomeSales.com.

Steamboat Springs, CO is experiencing a huge real estate boom with over 25 developments (BIG projects) in various stages of completion.  Trailhead Lodge will be one of the first new projects completed on the mountain.  It will be connected to the ski mountain by a new gondola which will transport guests from Trailhead Lodge (see the photo where the foundation is being constructed) to One Steamboat Place.  The architect's model of the building is very attractive--it has four stories of varying heights, and the pool area has several pools (maybe four or five?) including a kids pool and adult-only pool.  There are several fire pits and different socializing areas.  It's part of the larger Wildhorse Meadows development that will include single family homes, townhouses, a little store and a ...

It's hard to believe, but the Steamboat Springs, CO Ski Mountain will open in 21 days with Intrawest in charge.  This photo looks down from above Ski Time Square at the new slopes being carved into Headwall.  We have a new high-speed six-pack with two areas to unload.  The first one, seen in the upper left corner where the yellow and blue crane is located, will drop riders in front of Bear Claw.  Riders can also continue up to Christie Peak, which is also regrading slopes to turn the two little catwalks, Main Drag and Boulevard, into a wide beginner run. Other changes will include the demolition of Thunderhead Lodge and Ski Time Square next year (or the year after that?).  Thunderhead Lodge is the gray buildings in the lower right corner, and the buildings with brown roofs along the low...

As the rest of the country’s housing market stalls, Steamboat Springs, CO, is experiencing unprecedented growth. How can our resort town continue to appreciate while other markets stall? One reason is that Steamboat Springs is now home for more “location neutral” businesses. Before cell phones, the Internet, faxes and Blackberries, people who lived in Steamboat had to work in Steamboat, but that’s no longer true. Approximately 10% of our workforce–a number that continues to grow–works from Steamboat but does business in another part of the country. People who have the luxury to live where they want and conduct their business electronically want to live in Steamboat Springs. It is a beautiful town with a real downtown with a true sense of community and endless recreational activities. P...

There are lots of reasons to love Steamboat Springs, but biking along the Yampa River on the Core Trail or blazing down the single track on Howelson Hill or Mt. Werner are both at the top of the list.   Now it is official:  Steamboat Springs, CO has been awarded a silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community designation by the League of American Bicyclists. Steamboat was one of two communities to be awarded the Silver level out of 17 communities that applied.  A few other towns got a Bronze designation. The League of American Bicyclists awards the designation based on five categories: education, engineering, enforcement, encouragement and evaluation. We have dozens of miles of paved bike paths and countess miles of single-track. And for a mountain town, Steamboat is surprisingly flat if you ...
