Delta County, Colorado Loves the Denver Broncos. As part of a 20 city state tour, a few Denver Bronco players came to Delta County to show their fans their appreciation. This meet and greet is part of the Mile High Salute to Fans Tour. The residents of Delta County took over Bill Heddles Rec Center to show the team how much they truly appreciate The Denver Broncos. The line of fans waiting to see the players stretched for over 1/4 of a mile. Delta County Choir Festival To Benefit Habitat For Humanity. This is a win win event for the schools and for the Delta County, Colorado Habitat for Humanity Chapter. All of the Delta County, Colorado High School Choirs will participate in this event. It's a full day event that will take place at the Delta County Center for the Performing Arts. It's on Thursday, April 11th, 2013. The choirs will begin the day singing for each other. The Denver Broncos Salute Delta, Colorado. As part of a 20 city tour, players from the Denver Broncos will be stopping for a meet and greet with fans in Delta. That's Friday, April 5th, at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. The 20 city stopover is called the Mile High Salute to Fans Tour.   Foto Friday...Unbelievable, There's a Gas War in Delta, CO. Yes I really paid this for gasoline today. I was only disappointed because my tank wasn't on empty. Can you believe this price? This new station opened on Wednesday. I'll give them a plug. It's the station in the picture. There's another gas station across the street, and well you know how competition goes. A half hour before I took this picture, the price was 2.22 a gallon. I had to do a double take and almost rear ended the guy in front of me. Before I left town, I stopped by to fill up my tank and the price per gallon had already dropped. While I was pumping, the station across the street was lowering their price....AGAIN. Delta County, Colorado Habitat for Humanity...Thinking Outside The Box. For a small, rural county, Habitat for Humanity of Delta County, Colorado is making great strides. Delta County has less than 32 thousand people. That means there's a limited number of resources and funds for the group to work with, but in the last year, the group has gotten a deserving family a house, done a complete remodel of a house for a family, put two new roofs on a house, and now it has this project in front of it. Delta County, Colorado Habitat for Humanity was given this bank foreclosure house. The house is very small with only one real bedroom. It wouldn't be suitable for a family. CAWS of Delta County is Sponsoring a Santa Paws Adoption. Caws stands for Citizens for Animal Welfare and Shelter. Mark your calendar for December 16th, 2012 from 11-3. The theme is, of course, Christmas orientated and there will be an opportunity for everyone that comes by to get their picture taken with a shelter dog.   The fun takes place at the Delta County Animal Shelter. Santa Claus is Coming to Delta, Colorado in The Delta Parade of Lights. This Friday, December 7th, 2012, Santa Claus will officially kick off the Christmas Season in Delta, Colorado. He'll be the guest of honor in Delta's Parade of Lights.   Delta, Colorado has Delta County's largest Parade of Lights. This year's theme is "A Country Christmas". I haven't run into any personal situations where using electronic signatures would have made my life easier. These types of situations only seem to come up in my business. I have read many entries into this contest, and realize that if the use of electronic signatures was more widespread, it would make life a lot easier for a lot of people. But in my experiences, and need for simplicity, most of my needs for electronic signatures center around working with one entity. What's Up With Blue Ink and HUD...Docusign Would Be Better? Is the government purposely trying to make it difficult to get rid of their bank owned houses? You have to wonder? I've sold more than several HUD homes this year. The Garden Center Delta, Colorado Helping Those in Need. For the third year running, The Garden Center, in Delta, Colorado,  is sponsoring the Angel Tree. This is where you can 'adopt' a child in the foster care system and purchase gifts to help the child have a real Christmas. This program is called The Angel Giving Tree. The first year The Garden Center started The Angel Giving Tree, they had 50 children in need. This year the number has grown to 93. You can donate to the program, or actually 'adopt' a child and do the shopping yourself for that specific child.   All gifts must be new and unwrapped. Stone Mountain Village, Delta, Colorado Real Estate Information. Stone Mountain Village is one of Delta's newer subdivisions. These homes were built between 2005 and 2008. The subdivision sits almost at the base of Grand Mesa for wonderful views of the world's largest flattop mountain.     The location is right on the edge of town, but still in Delta city limits, so the subdivision is serviced by city water, power and sewer. Sweitzer Lake State Park, Another Delta, Colorado Treasure. Located about one mile south of Delta, Colorado off Hwy 50 is Sweitzer Lake State Park. The park is one of our smaller state parks at 210 acres, but it offers a lot of fun in that small space. Here's some information most Delta locals don't know about the park. Sweitzer Lake State Park was the dream of Morgan Sweitzer as a place for everyone in the area to enjoy nature. The park opened in 1972. The Sweitzer family donated the land for the park in the 1950s. A dam was built to create the 137 acre lake.   Now the dream is a reality and Sweitzer Lake is a playground for everyone to enjoy. L'il BOO BASH...Bill Heddles Recreation Center Delta, Colorado. It's that time of year when all the spooky creatures of the night will haunt the hallowed halls of the Bill Heddles Recreation Center. I'm sure there will be a few doctors and princesses thrown in for good measure, too.   Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta, Colorado will host it's annual L'il BOO BASH. That's this Wednesday, October 31st. This is fun time set aside for children aged 1 to 10 years. Confluence Park... A Wildlife and Outdoor Oasis in Delta, Colorado. The park covers 265 acres within the Delta Town limits, and this includes a 60 acre lake. There are wooded walking trails that follow the river and loop around the lake. The lake gets stocked once a year with trout, too. At least twice a year there are different fishing events organized just for kids under 16 years of ago. There's also a handicapped accessible fishing area. Bring a picnic lunch and the kids and the dog. Confluence Park has a skate park, easy hiking trails for the kids and three fenced in dog areas.
