Our local display is wonderful and it brings out the kid in me. Delta is still planning on having it's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display. The Delta Chamber of Commerce is getting a lot of calls about this subject. I confirmed this information with the chamber myself. The show will go on. As in the past, the fire department will shoot the fireworks over Confluence lake. DeltaRado Days  Fun Summer Time Festival in Delta, Colorado. This is the 78th year for this festival and it gets bigger and better every year. There are events planned all over the small town of Delta, Colorado. This year the fun starts on Thursday, July 18th, 2013 and runs for four days through the weekend. The Annual Delta, CO Rock and Gem Show is Almost Here. This yearly event is hosted by the Delta County, CO Rock Wranglers. It's Saturday, June 1st at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center. This is a free event open to the public. Vendors, and the interested public, come from all over the Western Slope to display their treasures. Some of them even have their own mines nearby. Scenes From CAWS Strut Your Mutt Fundraiser, Delta, CO. Citizens for Animal Welfare, or CAWS for short, did a great job with the second annual CAWS Strut Your Mutt Fundraising Walk. People and dogs of all shapes and sizes turned out to help raise money for the CAWS Adoption Center in Delta, CO. It was fun and a big success. This year CAWS took in over $2500. Sue Shelton was the top fundraiser bringing in almost $800 in cash and merchandise. Way to go Sue. The group had other things planned like prizes for the best dog trick and the happiest tail wag.           A prize was also awarded for the best pet/human look alike. Walk Your Dog For a Good CAWS...The Annual Delta, CO Strut Your Mutt. The Delta County, Colorado Citizens for Animal Welfare and Shelter ( CAWS ) is gearing up for it's spring fundraiser. The CAWS Strut Dog Walk-a-thon is coming up on May 4th, 2013. The CAWS Strut Dog Walk-a-thon is a fun time for a great cause. No pun intended. Bear and I did the 5K walk last year, and we plan to do it again this year. This is a non competitive walk, but there are some fun contests when the walk is over.
