The City of Walnut Creek has four parcels of Open Space totaling approximately 2800 acres. The largest of these is Shell Ridge Recreation Area, with 1400 acres and 20 miles of trails. The other areas are Lime Ridge with 900 acres and two smaller parcels, Acalanes Ridge and Sugarloaf. Both Acalanes and Sugarloaf have small trail systems suitable for short hikes and nature observation. The most extensive trail systems are found in Shell Ridge and Lime Ridge. Both of these areas are connected, either by connector trails or through Diablo Foothills Regional Park, to Mt. Diablo.Shell Ridge, once a sea bed, takes its name from the fossilized shells found in the areas rocks. Okay Billie - do I need a head doctor, or what?!The last couple of weeks I've been having some strange rather weird, but subtle sensations in my chest. I reached the point last night, where I decided to have my brother take me over to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA for a few tests.I was pretty sure it would be nothing, but you never know. 12/12/2006This is my first blog ever!!  I am really excited about this!  As you can see from my home page, and I have always said, "I am stuffed with words" I have many books, or, soap operas inside me!  Most of it is inspired from the many clients I have had the pleasure of getting to know as I have helped them buy or sell a home.  Oh, Ok!  Some are from my own life and of my grown 20 something kids, and of my precious animals.  But most come from really getting close to the people I work with.  How else could I possibly know what they really want or what works for them?  I have to see through their eyes and the only way I can do that is to get to know them.  Good thing I am a people person. 12/12/2006
