Summer's a great time for local festivals and fairs. Last month, Camarillo held their annual Fiesta and Street Fair. In April, guests enjoyed the Spring Wine Walk and Street Fair here in Ventura. As Californians, we're all too familiar with the term "rolling blackouts". These occur when our power grids become overworked. Earlier this year, PG&E announced that they believed their equipment caused the 2018 Camp Fire. A combination of dry vegetation, lack of precipitation, and the Santa Ana winds spurred the Woolsey Fire on. To deter possible fire outbreaks, PG&E plans to implement rolling blackouts. Other utilities may follow suit. If you don't want to be caught without power, consider solar power.
