A Look At The Tournament of Roses Floats Before The Parade in Pasadena  Here’s another sneak peak of floats that will appear at the 127th annual Tournament of Roses Parade on Friday, January 1, 2016. On Wednesday, I visited two decorating venues of professional float builders at the Rose Palace and the Rosemont Pavilion.    Since a requirement of the floats dictates that only “natural” materials(flowers, trees, seeds and the like) be used, the combination of time and freshness means a lot of last minute work is underway as you will see in my photos.    This yearly event plus the Granddaddy of Them All at the Rose Bowl later that afternoon puts the city of Pasadena on worldwide view.    Whether you are viewing along the five-and-half mile parade route or comfortably watching from your ho...
