I got back from a wonderful weekend in Tahoe; it’s good to get out and see the beauty around us. We are still getting brief shots of snow in March which is good. It was mostly clear this weekend and the temperatures are expected to get warmer this week. I was able to get some shots of the area that we don’t get to see down in the foothills of the Sierras. Six foot icicles may be commonplace in your neck of the woods but not in mine. Frozen downspouts, black ice, and snow covered hillsides are something that I just love to see as a tourist. I don’t know if I could live in these conditions; I could probably snow shovel the walk way once but not every day.  As a contractor, I looked around and wondered how it would be like to work in those conditions. For South Lake Tahoe real estate buyers looking for a quiet county neighborhood, Meyers is the place to look. Meyers is located about five minutes west of the "Y" on Highway 50. The South Lake Tahoe mls defines the Meyers area as beginning at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course on the north side of Highway 50, and extending to where the South Upper Truckee River and Highway 50 intersect.
