I wanted to quickly pop up this blog post today for a couple of reasons. Of course, the quotes are invaluable to consider as we're moving forward in this new media age. They'll challenge you to think ouside the box - or "unpaint yourself out of that corner." (See slide #21.) But along with that, I thought it would be cool to give you a quick look at slideshare, too, especially if you haven't heard of it. We keep hearing it's a great time to purchase a home. But is it really? To get an answer I talked to some real estate and loan professionals. Their feedback was encouraging. Based on their thoughts I was able to put together a list of 7 reasons why it's a great time to buy (especially in the Mother Lode). The only other question that remains is: What are you waiting for? Here's the list... (1) Interest rates are at historic lows - lower than they've ever been. (2) Home prices have come down. (Professionals across the board state home prices have dropped even lower than they thought they would.) How often do you evaluate your business approach? I'd expect, if you're at all successful at what you do, you likely evaluate your business approach regularly - at least twice a year (if not more). On the other hand, I'd expect there are others who never evaluate their business approach. (Is that you? Be honest.) The problem with never evaluating is you begin to carry some "dead weight." What I mean by "dead weight" is it's easy to get in the habit of doing things that aren't really contributing to your potential for success. It could be anything that's "dead weight." And one person's "dead weight" might be different from another's. That approach by somebody else might still be working while it isn't for you. Through evaluation "dead weight" comes to light. I'm wanting to conclude a realtor theme blog post week today by talking about the "barreleye" fish. Of course, you can find out more about "Macropinna microstoma" (also referred to as the spookfish) by clicking HERE. But the thing about the barreleye that I wanted to highlight is it's incredible transparent head. I'm not kidding. You can literally see this fish's brain through the skin. And if you look close enough you can almost see it's mind at work? (See picture HERE.) Which brings me back to my theme. So what if we could look inside a realtor's head to see what's going on there just like we can look into the barreleye fish's? What might we see? I've got some quick screenshots below of some of the possibilities. See if one of these is you. (Or maybe more than one these?)
