San Diego County Home Prices Up Nearly 10 % From 2012 San Diego real estate has been all over the local news this past week. Part of the reason is because the S&Ps Case-Shiller Home Price Indices recently announced that housing prices in San Diego County have gone up 9.8 percent from January 2012 to January 2013. Nearly 10 percent! The Case-Shiller index is calculated every month and has a two-month lag since it covers repeat sales. The report also indicated that San Diego County's year-to-year increase was the 9th largest of the 20 cities that were included in the report.
