Buying a home in The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose is not like buying any other home in the Silicon Valley. You should not be alone for this. I highly recommend you start your search early on with a Villages San Jose real estate agent. There are many reasons why this is the best way to go about buying a home in the Villages San Jose but here are my top ones. 1. There is only one day a year when open houses are allowed. Just to get inside the front gate you will need a Villages San Jose real estate agent. This community is not like others where you can spend months going to open houses and learning the subtleties of the different villages.   2. There are rental restrictions in place and each individual village has a certain allotment. If you ever want to rent out your home ...

The Villages Golf and Country Club San Jose is a great place for animals, domesticated and wild. It is a wonderful place to call home for dogs, cats, horses, as well as wild turkeys, many species of birds, deer, foxes, and coyotes. For dog owners there are miles of hiking paths where dogs are welcome on leash. There are 450 acres of open space with 10 miles of hiking paths going up to an elevation of 2300 feet.  Even the most athletic dogs will get plenty of exercise on these paths. There are also many walking paths within The Villages San Jose residential neighborhoods for a less strenuous stroll. One beautiful path goes through Winery Court in the Hermosa Village. (Right past my new home) Dogs are also allowed on the golf course paths at The Villages San Jose when the golf course ho...

When my grandparents left their home in Palm Springs they went back to Florida to live out their lives. They had always lived in their own home or condo, but felt maybe it was time to go to a retirement community so they could get more help. They went to Boca Raton where my mother was living, and moved into a retirement home. They lasted less than a week. Instead, they moved into the Boca Raton Beach and Golf Club. They rented a golf villa on a monthly basis and had golf, swimming, social activities, restaurants, and near by shopping. I went to visit them frequently and my husband and I always said when we retired we wanted to live the same way. Well, 25 years later I am not ready to retire, but it sure would be nice living in a place like the villas at the Boca Raton Beach and Golf Clu...
