Weather in the Mission District Living in San Francisco, CA gives you an opportunity to experience a variety of weather conditions throughout the day!  Generally, downtown in the Financial District, temperatures are 10 - 15 degrees colder than in the Mission District.  And, for the most part, the Sunset and Richmond districts are foggier than the Mission, Castro or Potrero Hill districts. This past Monday (10/18/12), while driving to an unpacking job in the Mission about 1.5 miles from my house (also in the Mission), at around 7:45am, this is what I encountered... fog as thick as soup... Approximately, two hours later, you can see how the fog lifted!!  Love working and organizing in San Francisco, CA!! 10/20/2012

Who Doesn't Like Food?!!   As a moving organizer in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, I get to enjoy the best food this Country has to offer on a regular basis.  Now, I know that many states have great restaurants, but I'm in these  three cities most often. And, I will definitely find time this Satruday, August 18, 2012 for the FOURTH ANNUAL LaCocina San Francisco Street Food Festival!! The festivities begin at 11:00am and end at 7:00pm. It is in the Mission District, on Folsom Street between 20th to 26th Streets, and on Treat Street to Shotwell Street between 21st and 25th Streets.  The Cesar Chavez Elementary School parking lot, Parque de los Ninos Unidos and Jose Coronada Playground will also have vendors. Rumormongering : Fresh & Easy Coming to the Mission? January 31st, 2011 A little bird just told us that grocery chain Fresh & Easy is this close to signing a 20-year lease for the recently shuttered Delano’s space on South Van Ness in the Mission. The length of the lease is raising eyebrows, and most people involved in the deal are concerned that the Mission won’t embrace the brand with open arms. A Fresh & Easy in the Outer Richmond is already in the works. And the company’s pretty upfront about wanting to open up locations all across the Bay Area. [Curbed Inbox] 01/30/2011

With all of the goings on in the City this past weekend (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Bridge to Bridge race), we found time to volunteer at the MEDA 6th Annual San Francisco Homeownership Fair. The diverse crowd strolled though the block long event in the Mission and checked out the various vendors and information sessions – including stabling and improving credit (something that most everyone needs to do these days) and one special session about foreclosure prevention – our specialty. As with any event, people get out of it what they put into it. We think that information remains far more valuable than key chains and tchotchkes that some banks and other companies offered. Eastlake Stick Victorian in the Mission Looking for a real Mission property which you can make your own?  This "good-boned" - some might even say high cheek boned, Eastlake Stick Victorian was noted to have its first water tap in 1884 (per SFWD records.)  This home was said to have been built for Mrs. A.E.
