Introducing the matriarch of our family, Gorizia Trieste Picconi, or as we lovingly call her, Nonna. At 65, she embarked on a new chapter, taking Yvette and me under her wing, filling our lives with warmth and wisdom. Nonna's love, like a timeless melody, has always been our guiding star. She's a true testament to the strength of a grandmother's love. To honor her, I penned this heartfelt poem:In life's grand tapestry, you took us in your stride, At 65, with open arms, you became our guide. Nonna, your love, it knows no end, Our hearts forever, to you, will bend.Through trials and triumphs, you held us near,Wiping away every worry, every fear. In your embrace, we found our home, With love like yours, we'd never roam. You taught us values, both big and small, And in your love's embrace, ...

My home is adorned with cherished family photos, religious symbols, and softly lit candles, creating a warm ambiance. While awards hold their place, trophies and plaques from my accomplishments remain unobtrusive.Among the treasured images is a prominent childhood photograph featuring my sole show horse, "Little Bit of Berry."Berry's lineage encompasses a rich history. Sired by Funquest Berrybox, a Morgan Stallion who later earned the title of World Champion Western Pleasure under Rock Walker's skilled guidance, and Berry's dam, the possibly palomino Quarter Horse named Bit of Honey.Berry's narrative is a tale of transformation, a testament to his rags-to-riches journey. A $500 acquisition in 1979 from Oak Tree Ranch in San Dimas marked the inception of our companionship. The initial enc...

Been spending a lot of time at home under the California Governor's Shelter-in-Place orders.  As I look around my home at all the family photos, religious symbolism, lit candles, and heirlooms from my childhood and beyond.  It seems like I'm always trying to re-organize and display things more interestingly. There have been trophy, plaques, awards I've received over my life which are not prominently displayed.   What is displayed is the very important photo of my only real Show Horse, "Little Bit of Berry".  Berry was sired by a Morgan Stallion, Funquest Berrybox, who would later become a World Champion Western Pleasure Winner under the capable hands of the late, Rock Walker, and His Dam was I believe, a Quarter Horse, named Bit of Honey.  I believe that She may have been palomino, henc...

San Dimas Market Watch - May 24-30, 2013 Okay, so I know I have been away for a couple of weeks, but I was visiting my son in NoCal. It was his birthday and he was commissioned as a youth pastor at a church while we were up there.  Such an exciting time in his life! Now, let's get down to it.  This week in San Dimas only 5 new listings came on the market.  Not very many considering the huge jump in prices we have seen in the last couple of months.  It seems like more people in San Dimasshould be ready to do that move they have been waiting to do for the last few years.  Especially folks who are ready to retire and move closer to their kids or downsize.   There were 2 homes that went pending (into the escrow process) and 4 soldhomes this past week.  One listing expired and 2 more have go...
