One of the things that my husband and I love to do is back up " Winnie " our Winnebago, travel and camp. Often times we take our grandchildren on our excursions and they love to see all the different places we pull up to. Sometimes, we don't end up far, but the memories are lasting and the atmosphere top notch. Not long ago we went to Silverwood Lake. Silverwood Lake is a reservoir in San Bernardino County, California and is located on the West Fork Mojave River. Its is absolutely stunning!Silverwood Lake is full of all sorts of fish. From rainbow trout, striped bass, bluegill, channel catfish, large-mouth bass and so much more. With so much to do like hiking and backpacking, camping, canoeing and kayaking along with swimming holes, this is a great area to enjoy the outdoors and make me...

Feel Like a Squirrel? Outgrowing Your Space?Life Changes every day. And so it only makes sense that your living arrangements of the past may not be appropriate now. So you have a choice. Do you stay where you are and "deal with it"? Or do you upgrade, or downgrade, to a more appropriate home for what you need and want.People upgrade (buy a larger or more expensive home) or downgrade (buy a small or less expensive home) all the time. And as long as the means are there either with equity in your current home, or another means to make the change. There are a few things to keep in mind when selling and buying a new home. You will need to determine if you're a contingency sale, which means your current listing and/or your purchase are contingent on each other. You also need to determine if yo...

Having Sex in Empty Commercial BuildingA year or more ago our company was purchasing a building and a room full of agents were told to go and check out this building and then we were were coming back in a week to vote needing a majority vote to proceed to purchase the building. It was in a shady parking lot at the edge so not too much traffic. I noticed several cars in the parking lot but just thought they were inside or nearby at one of the other buildings. Another agent and I went in as we had been given the combo code. Empty suites are usually very quiet and we walked around and opened the doors as we went. We get to this one door and it is LOCKED. Well, who knows why as it could have all the internet equipment or possessions that had not be removed yet. It was dark except for light f...

I continue thinking about the terrible attack in San Bernardino this week. I don't have solutions or deep observations, but I just keep thinking about it.So close to home! But that's just chance. It could be close to any of us. I fear this is going to be in our future: small communities, average Americans, ordinary events.I was at a Ducks Hockey Game last night, about half an hour away....huge law enforcement presence. Yet I couldn't help but wonder if the target would be the grocery store down the street.

Candlelight Prayer at San Bernardino Stadium Tonight Tonight the community came together to pray for the victims of the horrific slaughter in our county yesterday.  Candlelight prayer vigil for the community of  San Bernardino tonight showed the power of a community coming together to grieve and show support to rise above the actions of a few. Prayers from all faith leaders as well as the SB Fire Chief. Love always wins over hate. Calls came in from President Obama, Bethlehem, and all over the world in support & love.Together we stand in San Bernardino to show the world that senseless acts of cowardliness will not displace our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! God Bless America! Thanks for Reading my Real Estate Blog.... **We hear about terrorism all over the world and in other parts of the cou...

Close To Home - San Bernardino Shooting Like so many Americans, I watched the horror unfolding in San Bernardino yesterday.  The attack took place only a mile or two from my exit when I head to the cabin. I've been by that area 100s of times. What strikes me is not that I could have been driving by when it happened....that's still very unlikely. What strikes me is how "normal" that area looks. It's a quiet suburban area with people attending a local Christmas Party. I'm sure there were Secret Santas, ugly sweaters, home made desserts and tokens of appreciation for jobs well done.Every day America! While the day's events might have been sparked by a workplace dispute, it does seem clear that this couple were waiting for an opportunity and planning for one. What makes me so sad is all the ...

Today is National Ride Your Bike to Work TodayYes, today is ride your bike to work today and it is a great idea if at all possible. Some say it is not but here is a few ideas to make it happen.  Leave an outfit at work to change into when you arrive sweaty. Get up early and eat a small breakfast. Leave earlier for work as it will probably take longer to ride than drive. Plan your route as traffic and freeways can always be an obstacle. Ride with a co-worker to make it more fun and safer. Check with your employer as many give gifts for bicycling to work as the state works with local govt. agencies to get cars off the street. Thanks for Reading my 'Real Estate' blog.........

Meet Up in the Inland Empire During a RainstormKaren Sanchez (Victorville) and I (Redlands) planned a meet up at Buffalo Wild Wings in San Bernardino last Thursday May 14, 2015. The day came and the weather did not look promising but we went anyway. Unfortunately we were the only two that showed. We had a good time and got to know each other better. We shared some business tips and discussed our areas. We both brought our iPads so we had them out on the table with us. The waiters/waitresses must be used to customers with their computers and tablets. We ordered lunch specials and the wings are delicious here so I highly recommend Buffalo Wild Wings as they are all over the Western US.You think  you know a person but until you sit down and visit face to face, you really don't know them. Found an Active Bird Nest While Showing Property   My clients and I were looking at a home yesterday and in the backyard we found an adorable mother bird sitting on her eggs. Here is the picture of the nest when we first walked outside. Here is a close-up of the Mourning Dove. We oohed and awed over the bird in the nest but quickly left so we wouldn't scare her. California is a dream-come-true state no matter what your needs or wants are. We have year round warm weather, beautiful beaches, rustic mountains and desert communities. If you are looking for a home in Southern California, please contact me. I am a local California Realtor, live in the Inland Empire community and am aware of the local market. I am here to help you find a home or to sell the home you currently own. California h...
