Clients from yesterday, whose home was not yet on the market, withdrew the home from consideration and asked me to rip up the listing paperwork. Just not ready to sell. Oh, well.  It is Friday, so it is time for a new listing. Now, let me preface this by saying, please don't take my "vision of white" listing the wrong way. I'm not talking about anything expressly religious or remotely racist, so don't even go there. The interior of this home is mostly white. By that I mean white walls, white ceilings, white carpeting, white woodwork, white closet doors and white ceiling fans.  Everything is so white that I had to leave booties by the front door for buyers and their agents to wear. Well, I had to pay the price a little bit for going on that hike Sunday when I had two open houses going on by working through dinner. It's not that I have to be physically present at the Open because that's my team members' jobs. They work with buyers so they hold the houses open, and we had a ton of open house guests this last Sunday. I paid for four-color large ads in the Sacramento Bee, both online and in print. Every website mentioned the Open. I blogged about it. I answered my cell and managed agent inquiries. As always, we tell everybody who comes through or calls that we'll probably be choosing an offer by 6 PM. Some people act stunned, like, what? Don't pay any attention to the weeds growing out of the gutters. Those are fairly new gutters, I suspect. The roof appears to be relatively new as well. And don't let the flowers planted in the front yard down by the street fool you or the nicely set table in the dining room. This house suffers from a lot of deferred maintenance and neglect.  This is also another successor trustee sale. I seem to be handling more and more of these types of real estate transactions lately, too. At least these people are selling houses. Many other people are not as I don't have a lot of move-up buyers from my sellers.  My sellers are either buying a new home (which we help them do), leaving California, or it is a successor trustee sale.
