Naked Photo in MLS Discussed at Real Estate Convention  This past weekend, I attended a national convention with over 300 attendees. One of the last speakers was discussing Technology and Facebook tips. She also discussed what not to put on social media sites or what will show up when you don't want it to.  Then the speaker mentioned the 'Naked Realtor Photographer' taking a picture in the bathroom and later updated into the MLS. The room was full of excitement and chatter. Since most of us had iPads or laptops, we were logging in to see the 'Naked Realtor'  photo and yes it was everywhere on the internet. Airplane to Chicago       This weekend is the National Women's Council Of Realtors® Leadership Academy at the Marriott O'Hare in Chicago. I flew ot of Jon Wayne Orange County and took a non-stop flight. It will be a lot of fun and I willl post pictures tomorrow. Everyone says Chicago is a magnificient city. Am I the Only One Who Didn't Know About the Increase in Comments?   Now I now it should not make a difference, but I think it is exciting to get points up to 20 comments. I always go over my 10 as I get carried away and totally enjoy commenting but it is great to now get points for 20 Comments.  I see that we get Blog Like Points (8) per click but not sure of how many we get per day. I clicked on 9 and got points for all. Then there is the new Like Click on the Comments. This is such a cool feature and I am so excited. I like Facebook but this is even better. Tonight I had (16) clicks so maybe the limit is 20 to get points for.  I know getting points is not the reason to do it but it surely makes it fun. 🎂 With Modern Technology, you Cannot Forget or Hide Your Birthday Even if you Try    In the past, we would normally get a few birthday cards in the mail or your friends at work would plan to take you out for for lunch on your special day. But this month I had a few surprises and thought I would mention some of my surprises. First of all my bank, who has been my bank since I was 16 years old, wished me a 'Happy Birthday' last week. I went to the ATM machine and after logging on, the screen showed a big birthday cake and said "Happy Birthday Kristin" which surprised me and I said out loud "What...how nice". Have You Heard About the Facebook Cop in Menlo Park Facebook is moving their headquarters to Menlo Park, CA and so a few months ago they went to the Menlo Park Police Department and agreed to pay $194,000 for 3 years to pay for a police offer to handle 'At Risk Youths' and serve the local residents in this area.   Mary Ferguson, an 8 year Veteran on the force, will assist the local schools when youths fail to show up for long periods of time. When they locate the kids, they are taken back to school immediately. This is a 3 year contract to better the community and get their  kids back on track.   Facebook also donated funds to get the Menlo Park Sub-Station in the mall re-opened. Nakedness and Real Estate Should Not Mix I have heard stories and seen news blurbs on TV about embarrassing moments in listed homes for sale but in the past couple of years I have seen it in person. The first time it occurred I was showing a commercial office to a client and we were given the lockbox code and assured that we could inspect the entire office space.
