Thank God it's finally Friday ...Even though it's been a short week Vegas Bob's body is tired along with his brain. So many thoughts have been racing into VB's brain like ... Should I retire, should I build a retirement home for 3 seasons in Alaska? Should I buy a small home in Georgia, Northern California, Utah or Minnesota for retirement. So this weekend VB is going to purchase a portable lawn chair, set it up in the shade under a tree along the beach of the pacific coast in California and try and clear his mind of all these thoughts and prepare himself for next week ;o)

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is preparing to go back down to the Lower 48 and is not very excited about going back down to the Rat Race ;o(Vegas Bob is going to have to rebuild his level of patience and take a deep breath.Vegas Bob has been in Alasaka now for 5 months, relaxing, hiking, taking photographs, videos and taking in the beauty.Anchorage only has a population of approx 314,000 people and Las Vegas is 2 million, give or take. And the Bay Area where I will be working, well plenty of millions of people and cars.Prayers will be needed for Vegas Bob on his journey back to the Lower 48 and the best thing VB has going for himself would be the beautiful beaches and sunsets along the Pacific Coast of California ;o)

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz working and playing in Santa Cruz California 1-11-2015   Vegas Bob has been playing around Santa Cruz now for about one week. VB spent 5 hours walking 6 miles up and down the shores of Rio del Mar yesterday.   And will be walking another 5-6 miles along the beaches in the Santa Cruz area.     Here are some photos that VB wanted to share with everyone, and the photos were taken with my iPhone so there a little grainy.      But the photos give everyone and idea of how beautiful the Santa Cruz area in in NorCal.     Vegas Bob is very excited to say that he will be starting a new job working for a company in the Santa Cruz area on Monday ;o)     The flower photos above & below were taken in Half Moon Bay just north of Santa Cruz and "yes" the flowers are in bloom. ...

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz in Rio del Mar California     Robert Vegas Bob Swetz in Rio del Mar California   After spending 5 days in Morgan Hill California, it was time for Vegas Bob to escape from the fast "Hustle & Bustle" of the Bay Area. So Vegas Bob drove south on Hwy 101 approx 60 minutes and ended up in Rio del Mar.     Vegas Bob has been to Rio del Mar several other times over the years and RdM is such a beautiful quite place along the Pacific Coast. Approx 10 miles south of Santa Cruz and approx 30-40 miles north of Monterey, RdM consists of mostly "Locals"...     Here are 3 very beautiful sunset photos that VB captured with his Nikon D-90 ;o)   San Francisco and Robert Vegas Bob Swetz 10-8-2014 activerain.trulia.com/.../san-francisco-and-robert-vegas-bob-swetz-10-8-...       1 day...

Most people would be surprised at the percent breakdown between Foreclosure Sales, Short Sales, REO, and regular Grand Deeds in Santa Cruz County. The graph below does a good job in showing what is really happening in our local real estate market. As you can see the majority of homes that closed last month are a result of the normal sale between a homeowner and a buyer via a Grant Deed. We also have a smaller number of Banked Owned Properties (REOs) in which the Bank had previously foreclosed on the property and is now selling the property on the MLS. There are also an even smaller number of Short Sales where the homeowner is selling his property with the permission of the bank for a price less than the total amount of the mortgages.  All of these sales have occurred through the MLS ...
