A Tale of the Little Blue Scooter     My daughter got the bright idea in her third year of college (2010) to get a scooter to drive it to school. The idea was to save money and gas. This was something she conspired with her father so he took her to the Yamaha Dealer and bought her one. Plus she had to have a helmet and not just a plain one but one of those expensive ones with graphics all over it. Then it had to be insured. Life seemed good for her and she was so excited to look forward to riding it the 6 miles to school until the first morning when it was cold and cloudy. Well that was the end of riding the scooter to school and she went back to driving her Mini Cooper. The scooter sat there for several years taking up space in our garage tandem until she went off to graduate school.... 09/22/2013

What Does Starbucks and Guns Have in Common Recently I heard about many gun owners over the US who like to go into Starbucks with their gun on their belt as it is legal in many states to carry a loaded gun as long as it is not concealed. Recently there has been a lot of conflict between gun toting customers and customers who are totally against guns. This is the same issue we tend to fight about all the time; pro guns vs. anti guns! Or is this more than the normal conflict?  The war on guns at Starbucks seems to be getting bigger all the time. Casting Call for Actors, Singers and Dancers in the Inland Empire Area A musical entitled "Redlands, My Redlands" will be presented on November 15-16th at University of Redlands. This musical will be celebrating the 125 year anniversary of Redlands, CA. Support Your Local Real Estate Vendors and They Will Support You   Yesterday our Board of Realtors had the yearly EXPO. It is so much fun as they set up stations and there was 55 different vendors there. They had freebies and raffles at all the stations. They served lunch and it included a Realtor/Service Providers free lucheon. Everyone got a big card and had to get all the stations to sign it off. Then you turned it in for the raffle for the free Mini iPad and you had to be present to win.           They gave away so many prizes but I didn't win a thing. I am on the membership committee so three of us worked the front door signing in all the members and providers and passing out bags and the scorecard.           We all had a good time and one of the neatest stations they had yesterday... 08/15/2013
