Real Estate Trends - Palmdale, Lancaster, Quartz Hill and the Greater Antelope Valley April 27, 2012 There has been a nation wide response to the bank’s mortgage settlement and that response has been a real drop in available inventory in the short term.  As I posted in March we saw a severe drop in resale homes, February 24th we had 1,488 by the 29th we were down 4%.  Now we are down by 37%.  We are hearing that there is a shortage of homes in markets allover the country.   Orlando's existing-home market edged up in February, the number of houses listed for sale in the core market fell below 14,000 for the first time in five years.  Florida, Nevada inventories are down, we are seeing this reported on the national news too.
