Long ago, I made a decision to move my whole family to the Antelope Valley. I wanted to be were I felt the action was. Where in the County of Los Angeles could I go where things are moving at an unprecedented speed. I already new,  Palmdale, Lancaster and Rosamond were areas with phenominal growth,I couldn't resist . The best  housing markets in the country.  The county statistics for Los Angeles price a median  home at around the  mid four hundred thousand dollar range. This is a monster mortgage payment. So where can you go to escape these outrageous prices. We'll do not fear for the Antalope Valley is near. With all the changes in the industry lately I wanted to see if I can get a somewhat accurate account of what short sales have been accepted lately and from which banks. The information I would like to know is :1) Which Bank accepted the short sale2) How much of a discount did they take3) How long had did the home owner have the note before they defaulted4) What was the reason for the hardship5) How long did the process take (one you had the offer to the date the bank accepted) I have heard "rumors" of people saying they have had short sales accepted when the seller only owned the property 3-6 months. I am trying to figure out if these are B.S. Stories or if the banks are actually coming around. I just wanted to Welcome Natahsa and Stephanie to Palmdale. Both girls are exhange students from Germany and will be attending Quartz Hill High School.  They are part of an exhange program offered throug ASSE. For More Information.Natahsa has been here for over a week but Stephanie has only been here a few days. But in the 3 days she has been here we have taken her Sailing in Santa Barbara and today we went to Venice Beach.  When I asked Stephanie how she liked the Beach she said "It was very nice but I am glad I did not get a host family who lived here". As real estate agents it is out job to educate our clients when purchasea home. Although most of us are not attorneys or CPA's, we can not get legal or accounting advice but we are able to suggest to our clients to seek additional advice. According to CNN Money Lancaster California is ranked #10 as one of  "Fastest Growing U.S. Cities" (http://money.cnn.com/2007/06/27/real_estate/258_fastest_growing_cities/index.htm).
