The other day while playing the beautiful and scenic Stone Eagle Club, I captured some of the incredible plants and vistas on the hills and mountains surrounding the Palm Desert club. Today I am playing golf with friends at Toscana Country Club in Palm Desert- It is a newer Tuscan themed developement with a beautiful club house and a fun golf course. Nordstrom Rack coming to Palm Desert soon!  For those of you who are Nordstom fans... the rumors are true!  Nordstrom Rack is coming to Palm Desert along with a Whole Foods store. Harsch Investment Properties President Jordan Schnitzer answered Councilman Van Tanner’s question during a public hearing where the council approved a precise plan and conditional use permit for a renovation plan for the center at 44-459 Town Center Way, which includes demolishing the current Banner Mattress building to make way for the Whole Foods building to be built out closer to Highway 111 and adding two towers with signs to increase the center’s visibility. It's time for the Palm Desert kick-off event of the season-  The Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade on El Paseo!  This years  "American Pride" theme will have the street filled with red, white and blue, stars and stipes, and a great feeling going into election time. The 48th annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade is now taking float, cart and band entries for the Oct. 28 parade down El Paseo in Palm Desert. Theme for this year’s event is American Pride! This is one of the wackiest ways I've met a buyer yet.  They haven't closed yet, so still not 100%, but offer is in and we'll see.. I was returning the key to the lockbox after previewing a home for an investor of mine.  He'd just called me and asked me to go look at the new Foreclosure I'd just sent him a couple hours before.  Of course, I was at the barn (it was 5 pm), checking the horses and had my little dog, Spartacus, with me.  Off I went. New DMV Office Opens in Palm Desert Palm Desert residents will no longer have to drive to Indio or Palm Springs to fulfill their Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)needs. The DMV opened its third location for the Coachella Valley in Palm Desert earlier this week. The new opening is expected to ease wait times at all of the DMV locations, which are typically overcrowded with long wait times. In addition to long wait times, for residents from the middle of the valley neither location was really very convenient to drive to. There will be a lot of happy residents and even snow birds in Palm Desert with the additional DMV location. I listed the lovely single family home at 74551 Columbine Dr., Palm Desert, CA. only 20 days ago.   I met the Sellers to discuss the listing and what we could sell it for.  The recent comps in the neighborhood supported a sale price of about $390,000, BUT there is not a single home available to buy!  After going over what they needed to do to get it "sparkling to sell", we listed it at $425,000.  The Sellers quickly did the touch-ups I had requested.. 1.  Paint the exterior 2.  Re-plant flowers along the entry and in the pots. 3.  Touch up the interior paint. 4.  Remove as many of the personal items as possible. 5.  Keep the pool/spa sparkling and the waterfall spa on. 6.  Install a lockbox..even though it was during specific hours for realtors to show it.  7.  Keep it sparkling.
