Palm Desert has many homes and families facing foreclosure, but they don't know if they would qualify for a short sale of their Palm Desert CA home to avoid complete financial devastation. What Does a Real Estate Short Sale Mean for Palm Desert CA Homeowners? The definition of a real estate short sale means that the Palm Desert CA house is about to be in foreclosure due to the default in payments of the mortgage. The Living Desert is a MUST-DO for Visitors to Palm Springs   This weekend my brother was visiting from Kansas and we wanted to share the beauty of our desert with he and his girlfriend.  We all have our list of the top places to go and things to do here.   I posted a Top 10 Things to do in Palm Springs Area list a few months ago and there is no doubt that The Living Desert belongs on that list!   Not only do they have an impressive collection of African and North American wild life- they also have gardens bursting with cactus, sage, wildflowers and all kinds of desert plants.  You can also access a trail and wilderness loop and actually take a hike out into the desert, up a small mountain, and view the San Andreas fault from a viewing station.                       Depending on what ti...

The other day while playing the beautiful and scenic Stone Eagle Club, I captured some of the incredible plants and vistas on the hills and mountains surrounding the Palm Desert club. This ocotillo was just bursting with color!  The stunning Tom Doak designed golf course is nestled in the Santa Rosa Mountains and the San Jacinto National Monument and is surrounded by thousands of acres of protected land.

Today I am playing golf with friends at Toscana Country Club in Palm Desert- It is a newer Tuscan themed developement with a beautiful club house and a fun golf course. Although I live and work in La Quinta- it is great to go experience other neighborhoods, see different architecture and connect with new people.  I also will share things about our area- and invite others to come visit La Quinta Country Club and let them know the real estate climate here.

Real estate is a business that includes more than just “people skills.” It requires administrative, marketing, networking, and negotiating skills as well.  For that reason, Kimberlee & Irma joined forces to create The Desert Dream Team.  We both have different  skills and we  work together with a strategic plan for providing our clients with the best possible service.   For buyers, we do property searches, showings, write offers, negotiate deals, ensure all loan requirements are met, make sure all parties involved (i.e. mortgage broker, escrow agents, listing agent, etc.) are on task, bring the deal to closing, and follow up after they’ve moved into their new home to make sure they had a positive experience. On many occasions, more than one team member is involved in this process! For s...

Masto's Steakhouse Opens on El Paseo!     Another Steakhouse joins the scene on El Paseo! A fine dining and swanky hangout in Los Angeles for years, Mastro’s Steakhouse announced it’s opening its newest location along Palm Desert’s El Paseo in November. Mastro’s consistently wins the “Best Steakhouse” award across the country, famous for their prime hand-cut steaks, seasoned with a secret dry rub and served on sizzling 400-degree plates. The menu also includes a selection of fresh seafood, including a three-tiered iced seafood tower appetizer. They also offer an à la carte selection of the freshest in upscale seafood – the most popular of their steaks, Mastro’s bone-in filet, served alongside carefully crafted, family-style lobster mashed potatoes, and, to finish it off, their house sp...

It has been a tough year for many here in the Coachella Valley and The Desert Dream Team wants to make a difference.   Unemployment rates are still high and as we know the economy is still struggling.  So even though we can all think about how bad things are , there is always those who have it worse.  Think of children waking up on Christmas to very little or nothing.  Kids who would love a pair of new shoes more then a toy.  A teenager who will pass on Christmas so his siblings can get a little something. The Desert Dream Team is working with a program called "Baskets of Love".  Baskets of Love has been around for 18 years and every year it continues to grow.  Giving a little bit of hope to the children in our valley who have been selected to receive a little Holiday cheer..  We are as...

This is one of the wackiest ways I've met a buyer yet.  They haven't closed yet, so still not 100%, but offer is in and we'll see.. I was returning the key to the lockbox after previewing a home for an investor of mine.  He'd just called me and asked me to go look at the new Foreclosure I'd just sent him a couple hours before.  Of course, I was at the barn (it was 5 pm), checking the horses and had my little dog, Spartacus, with me.  Off I went. Spartacus was barking from the car, I turned to see and there's a huge SUV sitting at the curb.  The window rolls down and a man hollers at me, "Hey are you a Realtor?" "I might be," I answered him.  "Why...Are you a Buyer?" "Yes, we are and we have 10 days to find a home.  Can you show us this one?' Now understand that I have my barn car, my bo...
