FEAST OF LANTERNS IN PACIFIC GROVE CALIFORNIA Pacific Grove is a charming town proud to call itself "America's Last Hometown". Residents are known as "Pagrovians". They enjoy a quiet, and safe lifestyle. Pacific Grove is also known as "Butterfly Town USA" as each year, Monarch Butterflies migrate here for the Winter. Located at the tip of the Peninsula between Monterey and Pebble Beach, this town was founded in 1875 as a Methodist retreat. The town itself is only 2,86 square miles. The population is about 15, 683 is quaint and unique with many victorians dating back to the days of yesterday.
