First of all I have to say that Balboa Island is one of my favorites spots in Newport Beach. I often, about 2-3 times a week take a short drive down and walk around the island or go on a run. There is nothing more peaceful than arriving early in the morning around 7:00 and enjoy the scenery.This is the view from the bridge going from Main Island to the Little Island. I just love the views! You will find folks on walks at any time of the day. It is also a very pet friendly location. The homes vary, you will find charming beach cottages to the most extensive homes. Here's one of my favorites.Like this home there are so many other gorgeous ones. Can you believe that once some bayfront lots sold for $25.00????? Now try $3,000,000. And yet Balboa still maintains its charm and small town feel...

Should you buy now or wait is kind of a silly question, if you ask me. Every day I have clients ask me this question. I also have people ask me if we have hit bottom. If I knew the answer I would be extrememly wealthy. No one knows when the bottom will hit, until prices go up. Usually we know that when we look back. My advise is if you have the funds to buy now, you should. There are some great buys out there, although not everyone has to sell. If you are testing the market, please dont. Not now. You will be very upset with the offers you will receive. Unfortunately there are the situations where people have bad loans and they do have to sell, relocation is another reason to sell, divorce,death, sizing down, moving up.
