Balboa Island is my favorite spot in Newport Beach. While I dont live there just yet, I know someday I will. I visit the Island at least 3-4 times a week. Usually to walk or run around both the Main Island and the little Island. Sometimes I just go to shop on the many darling shops in town or meet friends for coffee. I really enjoy all the charm the island has to offer. I make it a point to always keep an eye on what real estate on Balboa Island is doing.  I never thought I would see prices drop in Newport Beach, and really they haven't much! Living in Newport Beach is very special. You can't beat a beautiful day here. So if you are thinking of buying, now is the time..... I looked at past sales on the Multiple Listing Service.  I compared sales from March 2008 to March 2007 in Newport Beach, prices dropped 9.1%,  and in Corona Del Mar down 6.4%. Yes this is a drop, but not like the media claims. It's a slight decrease. Considering they were up 30% just a couple of years ago. If you are considering purchasing a home in Newport Beach do it before it goes up again. No one knows when that will be.  I will say that our Open houses have been extremely busy with buyers, our office is closing numerous sales weekly, and we are definately feeling...
