Gratefulness has always been important to me and for all the decades I have lived there are many events, things and reasons to be grateful for. Today I had some wonderful photos that popped up and it was a clear reminder for me to share here with everyone.Debe Maxwell, CRS  thank you for the inspiration and hosting this Gratefulness Challenge. In all fairness I could do a post every day until the end of the month and never repeat myself for the many things I am grateful for and thankful for in my life. So, in no particular order this will be the first I share. I am so grateful for Diane and her love for animals. She truly highlighted for me that our pets are the most important part of our lives. Needless to say, I have followed her lead, and it is no accident that we have and had so man...

There is no place like home, not just for the holidays... there is no place like home all year around. I was just thinking top of my head:1. No worries of rent increase2. No worries about the lack of response from management3. No complaining about the neighbors making loud noises because they know management is off duty.4. No worries about the neighbor's dog barking and no one is home5. No worries about not having hot water and cannot get hold of the management. 6. No worries how many pets you have aka cats and dogs. The best part is up or down market your equity on the home keeps increasing in the long run. So, with that said if you are tired of your landlord, I am working during the holidays to find you a home. Feel free to reach out to me.   Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I l...

Speechless Sunday: a fun Sunday afternoon in Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 well Diane wanted to stop by the beach. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon, my deals were being auto pilot hence I was all for stopping in where we used to live for ten years of our lives. So with that said we took Holly along for the ride. This was the second time she has been to the Marina and she loved it. She enjoyed sniffing and it was just perfect many other dogs were around and the beach was not crowded. Clearly she loved walking on the sand too.  In case you are wondering Marina Del Rey is next to Venice Beach and the vibe is totally different.  Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. In case you did not know, the Los Angeles Country Department of Beaches Harbors has jurisdiction over the Land Leases in Marina Del Rey, CA. Many people are surprised to hear that Marina Del Rey is remarkably as  in London the property owners do not own the land. They lease if from the County, the State or the Country. One of the last remaining “Old Marina Del Rey” is Fisherman’s Village and Mariners Village (another post to follow). As you drive from LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) heading to Marina Del Rey as you make the first turn to the Marina, the first sight you see is the blue and white lighthouse. It reminds you of a quaint New England fisherman’s village with the colorful buildings on the water  front. The view is utterly New England or alternatively could remind you of...

Most people who are not from the Greater Los Angeles area are surprised what a large rental population we have. So with that said let us look at the Marina Del Rey, CA Community Overview: This is not unusual if you saw what ocean view condominiums are selling for as well as townhomes that are walking distance to the ocean, then you will understand that it is actually a relatively low number. When we lived in Marina Del Rey, we used to see many well known Sports figures as well as entertainment industry people whom even I recognized:))Yes, Marina Del Rey, CA has a very hip and young vibe to it. Clearly when we lived there Diane and I used to say wow we should have moved here 20 years ago:))Now if you are looking for a knowledgeable Realtor to represent you in the purchase or the sale of ...

Early Voting can be a challenge. Over the years I have wondered what the benefit of early voting is? Then I was pondering why would one want to vote early? I understand that when you are in the military you need to vote early so your vote can count.   When I was in the military life was simpler. Most of the US Mail was delivered. No one questioned will your votes not be counted.Fast forward to 2018 and we are always concerned will our votes be counted. So, when the National Association of Realtors decided without input from the membership that there should be a gathering in Boston, MA during the Mid-Term Elections, my first reaction was WHY? Then to boot, why Boston, MA when it gets cold and rainy at this time? Needless to say, I am digressing.Clearly this decision by NAR, created some ...

The Marina Del Rey, CA Condominium Market Trends Report is published... Marina Del Rey has always been very desirable, most people like the convenience to being close to all the action of Santa Monica and the convenience of being less than five miles from LAX also known as Los Angeles International Air Port. Then to boot to be less than nine miles to Beverly Hills and still have the Pacific Ocean as your back yard.Hence this desirability, maintained and increased the entry  point to be a home owner in Marina Del Rey, CA. Then when Silicon Valley became cost prohibitive for most of the Tech Start Ups. Marina Del Rey became a magnet. Hence Playa Del Rey, Playa Vista, Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey was called Silicon Beach. Hence with such background I am sure you will not be surprised wh...

The Marina Del Rey, CA Condominium Market Report is published...The biggest attraction to Marina Del Rey for buyers and renters is the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean as well as Santa Monica and Beverly Hills to name a few. All reachable and are less then ten miles from Marina Del Rey. Needless to say another great benefit is to be three miles to Los Angeles International Airport aka LAX.As you can see there is still a very tight inventory for potential buyers of Condominiums in Marina Del Rey.Even though the days on market have increased, do not be fooled it is still very much a sellers market.  The only benefit buyers can see is that they have an opportunity to think over what they plan on offering for the property, instead of the standard "give me your best and final". If this t...

Marina Del Rey, CA is one of the best beach towns in the greater Los Angeles area. It never gets old it has a vibrant and young feel to it. I have lived in Marina Del Rey, CA for about eight years and I have wonderful memories of my time here. Needless to say always love to help buyers and sellers either move up or move into this community. So with  that said let's look at the Condominium Inventory: As you can see inventory remains very tight and buyers need to be ready to step in when they see a Condominium that fits most of their needs and wants otherwise they will miss out to another buyer!Let's look at the Days on Market Numbers:  Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 remains a very strong and fast seller's market. The latest California Trends: Electric Scooters time to regulate them…Just to give you a little background: I have been one of the early proponents of the Bike Share Program when politicians were studying them in Beverly Hills, CA and Santa Monica, CA. I have written way back then about the foolish waste of money and time that both local governments were about to spend when all they had to do was look at the feasibility study that Boston, MA did way before and were already implementing it successfully. Many years later you can see the Bike Share program working extremely successfully all over Venice, CA, Santa Monica, CA, and Beverly Hills, CA and Los Angeles, CA to name a few of the local communities.Recently in the past six months I have noticed abandoned Electric Scooters in Marina De...
