Well, many of you know I have stopped following sports due to the entitled speeches from players and talking heads.... The TV has been shut off as well.  Diane,  insisted on me turning on the TV since across the street our neighbors and us used to have a Red Sox & Dodger rivalry. She also asked me to put out my Red Sox Flag.Now keep in mind Friday and Saturday the Dodgers beat the Red Sox here in Los Angeles.Hence tonight was about getting broomed or not. I do not have the picture of the neighbor's flag nor his wife using the broom as he did a video of her. Just for fun: Pets are curious and unpredictable... Diane went out to lunch with friends. Not the closest place to us, it was halfway between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.Now with that said, one of her friends, from Bakersfield gave her a small "cat house" we were wondering what the reaction would be from Jill and Wiley.Needless to say, we were wondering if we need to donate the new gift to a Rescue Organization if ours would not like it. Thank you, Katina Hargrove 352-551-0308 , for introducing me to The Mount Dora Olive Oil Co. Tonight, I decided to make an easy meal and thought how fun it would be to try the olive oil with one of my favorite breads from Trader Joe's.Needless to say, the Olive Oil was fantastic, and this post now focused on the oil and not my meal. The meal was secondary.I said to Diane to make sure you try to bread and dip it in the oil before you taste my meal. Well, she did, and the rest is history. As most of you know, I love drinking red Bordeaux wines. The French managed to perfect wine to a higher level. The Bordeaux region is well known all over the globe for producing exceptional wines.Now with that said, I found a bargain basement priced Bordeaux. Thankful Thursdays: We are so grateful our Central A/C is finally done. Today the technician came back and made sure that the Heating part of the system became functional. The other two guys who came cleaned &vacuumed the ducts. Now we are just waiting for two inspections one of which is the HERS Inspection, and the other is the inspection from the city, that everything was done to code.The difficult part is over, being on standby from 7am to usually 4 pm until they would call it a day or should I say quit for the day.All in all we were very pleased with the workers. Two days remove and install the new equipment by two guys. Then the third day two other guys cleaning the ducts. Of course, a third technician who fixed the heating issues.So, with that said we had the A/C running two days ... 07/11/2024

Wordless Wednesdays: just for fun Mac & Cheese flavored popcorn... I do a lot of high-end meals but there are times when I just like playing with food. Now with that said how about making a Kraft's Mac & Cheese flavored Popcorn?Ingredients:1.   1/2 a cup of corn2.  one tablespoon of canola oil3.  two ounces of butter4. bag of Mac & Cheese mixture (use the pasta for something else)5. another four ounces of melted butter.        Bake a half a cup of corn     with the butter and oil. Then pour it into a container such as a plastic one or a large bag.... pour the powder over it and then add some more melted butter. Shake and mix together and you got a great flavored popcorn. Have you replaced an old Central A/C? well we are in the middle of the process. Today was pretty much removing the old equipment and bringing in the new equipment.Sounds simple, but it is very challenging, when you have an opening that is basically the size of the old equipment 28 by 28 inches and then you bring in the new equipment and same story.Lucky for us we had two great installers who spent all morning and afternoon making this happen. As you can see the old tray was pretty much rusted out and was time for it to go.Tomorrow will be the connecting of the new equipment. Today was relatively cooler than the past five days, but tomorrow it will be warming up a bit, hopefully they can get it done before they get too uncomfortable in the attic.This drama is to be continued, stay tuned.... 07/08/2024

Many years ago, we got this dog cage, for our Schmoie since we did not want to have drama with him and the cats.Well as time went on, Holly our latest addition had no interest in going into the cage. As we welcome July, we also welcome in the second half of 2024.  The first half of the year is already behind us.  Of course, one of the most significant days in American history is on Thursday, July 4. A new shipment just arrived: the kitchen has been resupplied... I have always been a firm believer, that better the ingredients are the better the food will taste on the table. Yes, this is the voice of experience speaking. I learned this over three decades ago and I have been proving it every time someone came over for dinner. The message is consistently the same: Wow your food tastes so much better then when I make it. Why??The reason is because of the quality ingredients. I get most of my pasta from Italy and I wish I did that decades ago.
