Speechless Sundays: Our flowers popped up again out of nowhere...every summer about this time of year we get these beautiful flowers.Sadly, they do not last a long time, but we love the surprise popping out of nowhere, well look all we have is rocks here all year. Not even any grass pops up.Now with that said every year I ask the community what these beautiful flowers are, and I must be senile because I never remember it. Maybe I am too busy enjoying them. Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. Throwback Thursdays: Hard to believe this event was 24 years ago... I was relatively a new agent here in the Greater Los Angeles area and was focused on learning from everyone.  Look at the cover photo and who else was present at this event. Hard to believe I was lucky enough to meet all these people and listen to them from close up. Their words were heart felt and during the break some were even open to talking to the audience in the hallway. Not all of them some well I will just leave it at that....Tony Robbins was the Motivation Guru in those days, hence I needed to see what I could learn from him.The main speaker at the time was Donald J. Trump, before becoming a politician. His message was " Mastering the Art of the Deal" how to negotiate....Interesting to recall my observations an...

Wordless Wednesdays: walking Holly things we notice... three blocks from our house, there is a street that seems a cross over to avoid the busy traffic all around to get to the Airport, that is Los Angeles International Airport also known as LAX.  Sadly the Ubers and taxi drivers as well as limo drivers do not respect that this is a family neighborhood with small children and are flying by at unreasonable speed no pun intended with the flying by.As I walked Holly on Monday, I noticed this sign from one of the homeowners who has two small children. I smiled and we continued our stroll. Then on Tuesday as we walked by, I thought let me take a couple photos just for fun.Now the bets are out how long will the sign be there before someone runs it over or steals it? Inquiring minds want to kn...

Well, this special moon started on Monday night. I have been too busy so finally I had time to share with Diane and have her check it out with me. This is such a rare and special moon. As I have tried over the years to take photos with my cell phone, it does not give justice to what you can see with your own eyes.Needless to say, it will be another 13 years for the moon to a line, like it is now, a full moon with cycled of blue and super moon aligning. Now to novice skywatchers like me, I am just enjoying the big and bright moon, and it brings back memories, when I was a small child, and my father would take me to special Moon sightings at the observatory. I loved it because I could stay up late at night and could listen to my father telling me how special the moon was at the time.My pho...

#home,#homefinder,#perfecthomefinder,#house,#mortgage,#interestrateOnce a home hits the public marketplace, it often gets over 5 purchase offers, and the buyers keep driving the price higher and higher. In this area, we see houses selling for far more than they are worth because of these bidding wars. With our Perfect Home Finder program, we’ll actually find the exact type of home your family wants in the exact area you are most interested in and we will work with the home sellers directly. As a Realtor, I will allow you to gain access to pre-market houses that nobody else knows is for sale. No longer will you have to look at the leftover houses online. With our approach, you’ll get access to houses right here in the local market and you’ll be the FIRST buyer to know about the home sale...

Speechless Sundays: sometimes a first attempt does not turn out as we would like it. As some of you know I have been tasked with creating Mexican style meals. I have never cooked before, so I started cautiously.Well, here was my first attempt. I decided to make Creamy Chicken Enchiladas.Keep in mind I am seasoned enough to know not to go with the timelines:Prep Time: 15 minutes not really plan on 30-40 minutesCooking time: 45 minutes, well if you turn the heat up 30 minutes my take:)Total Time: 1 hour Not really plan on 1:30 minutesIngredients:1, two tablespoon of butter (Unsalted) my two cents2. 1/4 chopped medium onion (my take) recipe calls for one whole onion.3. recipe calls for 8 oz of cream cheese.... well my take is less than 4 oz.4. chopped cooked chicken breasts 1/2 cup accordi...

Wordless Wednesdays: Receiving a thoughtful gift is always appreciated... Diane received a Rolling Stone's T-shirt from one of her attorney bosses.  She was super excited. In her office there are pictures of different Concerts we attended and needless to say we did not go to the last one at SoFi Stadium for various reasons. Now with that said she is still a fan and as you can see, we have paintings autographed on our walls by the artist. In case you are wondering who the artist is? It is one of the Stones, Ronnie Wood to be exact. We had the pleasure of meeting him in person in Santa Monica probably about 15 or more years ago. When we bought one of his paintings. The other one we bought in San Francisco; many are not aware that he is not just a musician but a great artist too. On a side no...

Speechless Sundays: time to lighten things up, I have been commenting about AI on many posts and everyone knows my thoughts and position especially since my last post. Now with that said, I thought I would lighten things up and have you decided which salad you prefer? The first one is Tomatoes, Fig reduced Balsamic Vinegar, Fresh Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves with Black truffle olive oil and left over baked salmon.Just to be clear we had both today. Why? It was hot and humid even at night and when Diane saw my appetizer, she said could you make a salad as the main course? Reluctantly I did...Fresh spinach leaves, fresh avocado, cucumbers, baby sweet peppers, tomatoes, shredded red cabbage, radishes, and left-over baked chicken breasts. We have leftovers from both and some leftover...

Friday Fun Day: after a hectic week how about playing with food?...Well, I had some idea what to make for dinner but turned-out Diane did not have lunch. She had a hectic day too... hence I improvised on what I was planning on making for dinner. In fairness to disclosure the rice was made yesterday, and it was intentionally made dry and burnt a bit so I could use the leftovers either in soup or some other manner to make it soft again. I snuck in there a can of black beans to make it more of a Spanish twist. So, check out the photos, a total creation without any recipe inspiration. Hope you liked it Diane loved it:) It helped that she was hungry:)) to give you some idea, fresh veggies and some Argentinian Shrimp & some Langostino Tails were in the mix. Wishing you a safe and healthy life a...

Monday Motivations: another quote or two from Marcus Aurelius... with all the distractions that are going on around us: Politics, Wars, on the local and national level elections and within our profession the National Association of Realtor's settlement and now all the changes, I thought this would be a great message to share."... do not waste the remaining part of your life in thoughts about other people, when you are not thinking with reference to some aspect of the common good. Why deprive yourself of the time for some other tasks? I mean thinking about what so-and-so is doing, and why, what he is saying or contemplating or plotting and all that line of thought makes you stray from the close watch on your own directing mind..."(I thought this illustration would make you think before u...

Speechless Sundays: our birds were crying out for help. I had the backdoor open and I heard lots of loud noises from the back yard. There were no birds in sight, but I could hear them all screaming in the bougainvillea bush.Wiley our security department cat was right at the back door giving us heads up. As I looked on top of the Bougainvillea bush was a Hawk how strange. Clearly, I needed to go out and help. So, with that said I did not want to be mean but at the same time help out our birds. Hence, I got the attention of the Hawk and signaled for him to move on. He looked at me and reluctantly moved higher up from the bush. The birds thanked me, and the Hawk moved along.Order has been restored in the back yard and the birds are happy drinking water from the Bird Bath and peacefully enj...

Wordless Wednesdays: It is not about ego it is about standing out of the crowd. Do not be buried by the hundreds of other Real Estate Practitioners, my recommendation is to separate yourself from the masses. At the same time, it is a forewarning about AI, if you are one of the thousands of sheep following AI you will be one of the masses.I have been a successful Realtor for 29+ years in two different locations. One being in Boston, MA for about three years and the other being in the greater Los Angeles area for 26+ years. What I have learned over the years is, that those who act and behave like the 'masses' you know the 'sheep' end up not having listings, because they do not separate themselves from the masses. What I mean by that is, that there are about 10,000 or more agents in the great...

Share your legacy in a letter, is the Active Rain Challenge for July. I had been torn, whether I should participate in this challenge or not. Well, my take is I am just a humble Realtor in the Greater Los Angeles area, what could I pass on to those who read my post in this case my letter?First my handwriting is atrocious at best, even I have a hard time reading it after a few days later and if someone found it in my piles of ‘stuff’ would they attempt to read it or just toss it with all the other ‘stuff’. Now with that said I opted to type not handwrite this post.Dear Julianna,If I wrote you a letter, you’d never be able to read it, hence I decided to type it.  I know you celebrated your 11th birthday this weekend, so happy birthday!  Isn’t it fun to have a birthday in the summer when t...

The XXXIII Olympiad Games very soon to be hosted in Paris, France brings back memories of XX Olympiad Games which were held in Munich, Germany which at the time was known as West Germany.I had just graduated high school and managed to secure a highly coveted summer job as an Interpreter at the Olympic Press Center.  A large part of how this came about was that when my parents and I lived in Austria I learned to read, write and speak the German language; then when we legally immigrated to the United States, I learned to read and write in English.  Let me tell you, I felt very special indeed! The Olympic Committee gave me a company car, complete with the Olympic Logo. However, having learned to drive in the United States did not in any way prepare me for driving in Munich. So after only a...

Wordless Wednesdays: I had a busy day, hence wanted an easy cleanup dinner, one pot dish. In addition, Diane was going early to the Dentist and then to work reconfirming the easy cleanup dinner concept. So, with that said my one pot dish was adjusted.I wanted to have spinach tortellini with the easy one pot dish, Diane said, well could you make rigatoni instead? So, with that said had to add more stock and wine to the pan so the rigatoni will cook.Yes, it was a winner and virtually no leftovers. In case you are wondering had a little leftover red sauce, added some frozen Argentinian Schrimp and some frozen Langostino Tails and you know me some mushrooms too. So what did you have for dinner yesterday? Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are loo...
