ROOM TRANSFORMATIONS CAN GIVE NEW LIFE TO YOUR HOME!   Home lighting is one of the things that make a staged home look so warm and weloming.  Many homes are improperly lighted.  To remedy the problem, increase the wattage in your lamps and fixtures.  Aim for a total of 100 watts for each 50 square feet.  Don’t settle for one or two fixtures per room, make sure you have three types of lighting: general overhead, under-cabinet or reading and accent (table or wall).   Give yourself permission to move furniture, artwork and accessories among rooms on a whim.  There’s a common belief that rooms will feel larger and be easier to use if all the furniture is pushed against the walls, but that isn’t the case.  Furnish your space by floating furniture away from walls.  Reposition sofas and chairs...

It's a win-win!  Recently we read good information that made us think that we needed to write on the same subject.  Never before in my lifetime have the interest rates been so low.  The interest rates for FHA and VA loans are at an all time low of 4%.  This rate together with prices that have dropped drastically since 2005 creates a world of buying power for those who are in a position to buy. Prepare a stylish guest suite with inspiration from these tips: 1. The national housing reports are not good.   It appears that we are in for some more rough sledding according to the housing pundits.   You have to wonder why in the world would a 3.8% federal tax assessment be attached to the National Health Care Law (Obama care).    Here we are in the worst recession in decades, some say a depression, foreclosures and short sales galore, yet the lowest interest rates in our history, and banks reluctant to lend.     Where has this gone wrong.  I guess we need to look to Washington D.C. and the lack of intelligent leadership...the emphasis on the word intelligent.    Recent Bills passed by Congress and signed by the President have precipitated much of this debacle.   We all get to vote again in 2012.   Let's all give our vote a lot of thought before we...

if anyone knows of DJs in the Coachilla Valley who will do special events please let me know.  I do know of a couple who sing, are terrific, and have music but we all have heard them over and over again in the Desert;  so are looking for some one different who can entertain in the background while people are talking and enjoying themselves; and yet allow for dancing. Hey...it happens to the best of us!  I live and work in a 55+ Lifestyle Resort Development and I have never been happier!   Who says the golden years are not so golden?  Call it post menopause or call it working with the best clients I have ever known...it doesn't matter if my retirement investments are gone, I love real estate and the people I work with...I have my health what more could I ask? We need to make a Big difference in Washington DC next year or everyone will suffer...even more.  I talked with a family member this afternoon who hasn't accepted that Obama's administration has hurt our economy greatly and will continue to do so...I stated that we need a Big change in DC and she said "it will never change, it will always be the same"...she voted for Obama...I said "It better for your livelyhood as well as ours". The National Association of REALTORS is all over this and working to get it repealed, before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many REALTORS do you think will vote Democratic in 2012? Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? We have so many wonderful clients and are under a seasonal situation to have an annual party that we want to make sure as many of them are back before we have a party...which means probably January. We would welcome all your ideas...these are not the normal clients these are the very best of the best.  In this economy obviously we cannot afford the best of the best but we want to do the very best we can for all our clients.  They really are the best and there are those out of the state now that we still love and would like to have a way of incorporating them into the party even if they will not be here. Tough competition!     You gotta believe that in this market the last thing us Realtor's would like is tough competition.    Competition for new listings, competing for qualified buyers, competing with all the other agents who pounce on expired listings, competing with FSBO'S who believe they know a lot more than we do about how to sell a home.    When you really get down to it competition is really what makes us better.    It is what hones our skills, gets us up and going before the next guy.  Its what makes the quarterbacks throw a better pass, what makes that baseball player a 300 hitter. Competition is what real estate is really all about.   Competition is what makes us the best we can be!
