While sitting in my home office yesterday I happened to look out the window to see a large, white object land in my courtyard.  It walked around for a bit and then flew up and perched on the roof.  This dude was big.  I have little doubt that if he were to stand still he would be able to look my Great Dane in the eye, mano a mano.  Now, I asked myself, what does old Elmer the Egret find of interest in my courtyard?  Could it be the Koi pond?  Will the net on the Koi pond be substantial enough withstand his advances?Can you get life insurance for Koi?Pardon the photo quality, I had to take it through a solar screen from inside my office.  Koi pond to the left!

Builders Industry Association Home Tour is running now through October 14th.  Today I hosted an open house on the guard gated side of Serrano in El Dorado Hills, CA and had 10 buyers through!  Several of the homes in the neighborhood were on tour for the BIA home tour which really helped drive traffic.
