The island of Coronado is a neighborhood that offers a vacation-like lifestyle to its residents. One of the reasons why it is considered a resort city is its excellent weather. According to the Coronado Market Insider, it’s overall weather risk is actually very low compared to the U.S. average hence “fun and sun” is expected in this remarkable community.   Coronado is also known to be affluent. This is reflected in the median listing price of homes for sale in Coronado, which is at $1,686,370. Despite this fact though, it is interesting to know that the days on market of active real estate in the area is approximately 90 days or 3 months. This actually indicates that the significant price of the properties is compensated by the desirability of the neighborhood! If you want to learn more...

Coronado House for Sale: My favorite house on the lower end of the market right now on B Street. Maybe it is because I grew up as an only child and could only dream of getting the large family together for vacations. Now I have 3 kids and have to wait another 20 years before I could really fill this house to its ideal. From the exterior this is the quintessential Coronado home, complete with striped awnings.  The lot features a main house with 2 bedrooms and is certainly decorated for particular tastes. Honestly some will think it needs updating, especially the bathrooms, I just see potential. It also has a generous front patio perfect for drinking your morning coffee or evening cocktail while watching the bikes ride by. Walking out to the back patio you see a separate structure. In th...

We’re going to review some of the common mistakes that first-time buyers make, and we’re going to show you how they can ruin your opportunity to buy your first home. How to avoid those types of blunders? You'll find out in our HousePro Academy online course, Home Buying 101. MISTAKE #5:  Getting Excited and Buying New Furniture Before Closing The fifth mistake is buying a car or furniture loan before you complete your home purchase.  I know you’re so thrilled to be buying your new home and you want some beautiful new furniture to complement your house.  It’s so hard to resist… but you’ve go to do it.  I’ve seen so many times where the home buyers went out and bought a bunch of furniture on credit while they were in escrow for their home purchase.  Right before the closing date, their mo...

Local San Diego "Navy" gets luxury resort Style Accommodations at Beer Budget Prices. The view from the roof  of the Coronado Navy Lodgee ----a sweeping vista from Point Loma south to Mexico would be a bargain at double the price. The Navy has refurbished the 42 year-old beach front lodge and expanded it to 305 rooms, making it the largest Navy Lodge property in the world. For $40 million, the Navy demolished 90 rooms built in 1969 and added 205 nautical-themed rooms. It transforms the North Island Naval Air Station property from middle of the road Holiday Inn experience into a destination hotel. The views offered there are probably rivaled by only a few properties up the California coast. Staying at the newly renovated Navy hotel will cost troops and military retirees just $85 to $125 ...

This photo was taken from across the San Diego Bay at Cabrillo Monument at the tip of Point Loma near the light house. The views from Point Loma seem to go on forever. The vastness of the view on a clear day goes out clear out to the range of mountains in East San Diego. Coronado Isalnd is actually not an island, it is a penninsula attached at the most southerly end. The Grand Dame of Hotels, The Hotel Del Coronado takes up the entire frontal view as is evident by the clay red roof color.   If you are Buying, Selling or Relocating to San Diego and  need help from a professional REALTOR®, Give me a call or visit my San Diego Real Estate website and Sign up for Listing alerts for your favorite San DiegoHome and Condominium Property Searches. New Years Day Ice Skating At The Beach The location was the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island and the temperature was about 70 degrees. Did I mention that was temperature in the shade. In the sun it was down right hot!  You can see the affect the sun was having on the surface of the ice in the great reflection of the hotel on the surface. All in all, a great way to bring in the New Year appreciating our magnificent weather and the many wonderful visuals of living in Southern California.
