As a Stager, dealing with the client that wants it all done yesterday is all too common.  Proper preparation before listing and marketing seems to be an afterthought to so many sellers.  Granted there are always those cases where it has to get done and done fast but most times sellers tend to put off the inevitable.  Many times I come in when the house is not selling and they want to know why and without the blessing of an REA.  Around here the MLS is full of photos of unprepped properties and they are not all foreclosures and short sells. On a recent consultation, I showed up to find the painter already in place and the client wanting color recommendations now!  Call me crazy but I like to sample before committing, mistakes cost money and end up doing more harm than good. How long h...

Money is tight for us all but the consumer better keep a keen eye on the government in the coming weeks.  More laws are being prepared to raise money for the county, city and federal government.  Do you think they don't concern you!  Think again.  Many areas are trying to pass point of sale laws that will have a homeowner replacing wood-burning devices, windows, air conditioners and plumbing before closing can take place.  The REALTOR®  Action Fund is fighting to protect homeowners but we need everyone to get involved. If you think I am calling wolf then let me point out two laws that affect millions of sales in the coming years.  New laws have taken effect in San Luis Obispo County requiring residents in Los Osos to retrofit plumbing fixtures at point of sale because of the town's dwin...

It would seem that home buyers now looking at Dos Lagos in Corona are getting the message and that now is the time to buy. Sales representatives at Taylor Morrison's Market Street Dos Lagos project say that buyers are responding enthusiastically and sales have accelerated dramatically in the last few weeks.  This simply reflects the relative strength of Corona's housing market and the need for workforce housing that is amenity filled, retail close and commuter friendly.  Corona and Dos Lagos fit that bill and offer a "green" alternative to traditional projects to boot. Credit for the strong response goes to today's low prices, all-time historic low interest rates and a host of money-saving opportunities, which are available for a limited time. As a bonus, Taylor Morrison's sales team re...

Funny how life changes make you rethink many ideas you had during your life.  I once told my father, who was a golf lover; I would never follow a little white ball around a course.  Now that I'm older and I think wiser I have taken up this sport and understand why getting away to the golf course was so much fun for Dad.   Here in Corona we are blessed with many fine courses.  I recently visited one which is located in South Corona-Eagle Glen.  Eagle Glen is peaceful and challenging course that has many scenic vistas. The clubhouse is beautiful with a great menu selection.  Since the course is located at the foot of the Cleveland National Forest it is a perfect retreat from your busy schedule.  The course was designed by world renowned architect Gary Roger Baird and provides for a lot of...
