Enormous Waves at Corona del Mar main beach, the Wedge at Newport Beach, and South Facing Beaches - got huge attention from surfers, visitors, friends and neighbors this week - especially on August 27, 2014. Even though it’s protected by the Jetty, Corona del Mar main beach also had big waves, which attracted lots of visitors and local photographers. Huge waves at Newport Beach and Corona del Mar caused lots of excitement this week - at south facing Orange County CA beach from hurricane swells. With reports of wave sizes more than 25 feet, Wednesday, August 27, 2014, might go down in local surfing history as one of the biggest wave days ever.
