The view from my house on the shores of Lake Tulloch includes a panoramic view of Connor Estates, probably one of the most beautiful collections of waterfront homes in California. First time guests stepping out on my deck look out across the lake and gasp, "Those.....aren't really......VACATION houses.....are they?" Well, quite actually, yes, they are. They are million dollar plus houses that people do not live in full time. With an amazing location only 2 hours from most places in the Bay Area, owning a waterfront house at Lake Tulloch, behind the gates of Connor Estates, just might be the ultimate antidote for the high stress lifestyle in the Bay Area. After a hectic work week, you can arrive just in time to watch the sun set behind the table top mountain, and have a glass of wine as ...

There are are few opportunities left anywhere in California to live right on a lake, but now, thanks to a real estate market focused away from second homes, a rare opportunity exists to own a Lake Tulloch waterfront property. If you ever wanted to live on a lake, don't let this opportunity disappear. The cool clear pristine waters of Lake Tulloch offer Californians a rare chance to own water front property complete with a private boat dock. Combine this with a location in the quaint gold rush town of Copperopolis, (a mere 2 hours from the Bay Area), and you will find the perfect location for a second home, a retirement home, or simply a magical place to live full time. I know because I have owned a waterfront property on the shores of Lake Tulloch for a decade. To walk down to your own ...

Nestled in the lower Sierra foothills (right off of O'Byrnes Ferry Road) is one of most beautiful pieces of property you'll ever come across. I'm talking about the Copperopolis / Lake Tulloch area (on the way to Sonora and Yosemite). I just visited there today (a business trip you might say) and I was able to chronicle the trip on my camera. Having been known to film while driving before in the snow (click here to see) it came to be so much easier this time on dry roads. You'll notice the first picture above is of the Lake Tulloch Bridge looking up to the Table Mountain Range. The second picture is looking across the lake at Table Mountain itself. Finally, you'll notice some videos below including the one while driving (I can't believe it myself that I didn't go off the side of the roa...

Does anyone know where the Hell Copperopolis, CA is?  Does anyone know where the Hell Porterville, CA is?  Does anyone really care?  I grew up in Porterville and moved to Copperopolis when I was 24.  Porterville was a small town, bigger now of course and Copperopolis is a small town.  Get the drift?  There is currently new development going on in Copperopolis called the New Town Square.  This is really being advertised by SADDLE CREEK GOLF COURSE.          I went to visit relatives in Porterville a few months ago and my family said.......we need to take you for a drive and show you something.  I did not have a clue of what they were going to show me.  Well, look at this!!!!! This building says "COPPEROPOLIS established 2007."  I was like, what's up with this.  A little town like Coppero...

I have thought about this many times.  Fishing is like real estate.  Sometimes you catch them and sometimes you don't.  Sometimes you hook them and loose them.  Sometimes you hook them and actually real them in.  It can be fun just feeling them nibbling on the hook.  It is exciting.  But it is more fun when you real them in and land them right in the boat.  That is your reward. But whether you land your fish, catch the biggest one, catch the smallest or catch the most, just enjoy it and have a blast!!!  These eight trout, (actually 9 were landed but it was in the bottom of the cooler and we didn't see it to take the picture) were caught last Sunday night at Lake Tulloch, California. So how many times do you have to show property before they even nibble????  Who knows???  The more tim...
